3. Summary of Civil Work Progress of NR33 (CW1)

- Contract for Civil Works A.1-Improvements of NR33 (Contract No. SCCP-CW1) with Contractor Lim Sarin Co., Ltd and SWEE Construction & Transport Co., Ltd, Joint Venture and the MPWT has been signed on 20 May 2011.The Contractor’s Project Director and Contractor’s Project Manager have been appointed and approved by PMU3 and the CSC.

- Physical accomplishment during the reporting month was 6.3 %, which is behind the Contractor’s schedule which was 6.73 % (Variance: - 0.43 %), with an overall accumulated accomplishment of 23.26 % against scheduled 40.64 % (Variance: - 17.38 %).

- (i) Re-survey by CSC’s and Contractor’s survey teams completed 100%, (ii) UXO and demining works completed 100%, (iii) Renovation/refurbishing of Site camp for the Engineer 100% completed, (iv) Maintenance of existing road completed 40%, (v) Clearing & grubbing completed 93%, road way excavation completed 90%, embankment completed 77%, sub-grade completed 41% and overall structures works completed 16%.

4. Summary of Civil Work Progress of CBF (CW2)- Contract for Civil Works A.2-Development of Cross Border Facilities

(Contract No. SCCP-CW2) with Contractor Kuy Leang Ky Co., Ltd Construction Trading Group Co., Ltd and the MPWT has been signed on 25 November 2011.

- Physical accomplishment during the reporting month was 1.46 %, which is behind the Contractor’s schedule which was 4.01 % (Variance: - 2.55 %), with an overall accumulated accomplishment of 6.2 % against scheduled 8.79 % (Variance: - 2.59 %).

- (i) Possession of Site and Notice to Commence the Works have been issued to CBF Contractor on 13 December 2011 and 23 January 2012, (ii) Re-survey by CSC’s and Contractor’s survey teams completed 100%, (iii) UXO and demining works completed 100%, (iv) Renovation/refurbishing of Site camp for the Engineer completed 100% and Preliminary works completed 48%, (v) Perimeter security fence completed 52%, clearing and grubbing completed 75%, removal of unsuitable materials completed 30% and RC piles completed 40%.

6. Summary of Progress Activities of the CSC- Consulting Services C.1- Construction Supervision Consultant (CSC)

commenced on 23 May 2011. CSC’s Project Manager (Andre Drockur) has been appointed and approved by PMU3.

- (i) Conducted several joint site inspections and coordination meetings (Monthly Coordination Site Meetings were conducted regularly for both CBF project and NR33) and (ii) CSC has re-activated and continues updating the project website http://www.mpwt.gov.kh/externalfund/sccp, and finalized forty four (44) deliverable reports and up-loaded to the project web site, (iii) Attended and monitored all activities related to Social Safeguard Compliance, (iv) Review/Evaluation/Approval of NR33 and CBF Contractor’s documents, (v) Reviewed Contractor’s claims of NR33 and CBF (prepared V.O. No.2 for NR33), (vi) Continued working on the budget and cost estimate of proposed SCCP’s additional projects: 1- Revised cost of all buildings for SCCP-CW2, 2- Revised cost estimate for Covered Walkway and building N0. 10, 3- Office Furniture and Equipment for Cross Border Facilities, (vii) CSC just completed the bid evaluation report for the Maintenance of NR3 Kampot-Veal Rinh, etc.
