Xiaoyu Hu is a Waterloo based pianist who is currently in her
third year Bachelors of Music degree at Wilfrid Laurier
University. She started taking piano lessons at the age of 7 and
has played in jazz bands and pit bands. She has experience
playing in genres from classical to ragtime. In her spare time,
she enjoys spending time with her friends and reading fashion
blogs.

Billy Macpherson has been performing for the past 45 years. He continues to travel
and perform as “BillyMac/One Man Band. He shares his music with an evident joy
and passion and whether he is playing pop, rock n roll, Blues, Country or musical
standards, he plays from the heart.

Aaron Bell is the Arts Department Chair teaching Instrumental
Music at Collingwood Collegiate Institute, Simcoe County’s
largest award winning band program. Aaron holds a BMus in
Trumpet Performance from Brock University. Throughout his
days in Niagara Aaron worked as a lounge pianist and private
piano instructor until he moved to Midland where he taught
instrumental music. In addition to his busy teaching schedule at
CCI Aaron plays in the Georgian Sound Big Band, and the
Georgian Bay Brass Band.

performance pieces, placing 1st and 2nd at the Canadian Music League, as well as
1st in three separate categories under the ARCT division for the North York Music
Festival. His most recent accomplishments include scholarships such as the Oscar
Peterson Prize and the Gordon and Anne Wragg Music Scholarship from Humber
College. Christopher has played with Jazz artists such as Christian McBride and
Emilie-Claire Barlow. Additionally, he has been invited as a guest performer for
many community concerts and events, including Arts Exposed for the York Region
Arts Council, the 2017 TD Jazz Festival, as well as numerous private corporate
functions.

Nathan Stadig is a Collingwood local who is currently enrolled in his 3rd

Catherine Brown has lived in the Collingwood area most of her life.

through the Royal Conservatory of Toronto. Catherine is a retired

Keiko Yoden-Kuepfer. Originally from Katano-city, Osaka, Japan, a sister
city of Collingwood, Keiko immigrated to Canada and has made
Collingwood her home since 2006. Keiko holds a university degree in
Music Education, an Associate diploma of the Royal Canadian College of
Organists and the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. Since moved
to Canada, she has performed with the orchestras in Barrie, Kitchener,
Orangeville and performed at the music concert series in Barrie, Orillia
and Gravenhurst.Keiko is currently organist and Music Director at All
Saints Anglican Church, Collingwood and is very active in the musical
life of the community. She is a recipient of the Immigrant Artist of 2015 at
the Simcoe County Newcomer Recognition Awards.

Susan Connolly grew up in England enjoying violin lessons, playing
chamber music with friends and orchestral repertoire with various
Youth Orchestras. She holds a B.A. Hons (Music) degree from Bath
University in England and an ARCT in clarinet from the Royal
Conservatory of Music in Toronto. Since moving to Collingwood she
has played violin and viola with the Georgian Bay Symphony Orchestra
and currently plays 2nd clarinet with the Huronia Symphony
Orchestra. Susan plays Bass with the Georgian Sound Big Band and the
Regal Jazz Band. She enjoys sharing the Joy of Many genres of music
through teaching students of all ages and by participating in
Community Concerts.
