Our dedicated healthcare team is here to support you with all aspects of your shipping needs, from planning
the fastest route to suit your budget and delivering bespoke packing, to providing validated cold chain and
temperature controlled solutions. Each of our healthcare couriers are GMP/GDP trained and fully understand
the important nature of each and every shipment they handle.
With 37 wholly-owned service centres across the UK and over 2500 couriers, we can provide you with a secure
and rapid response, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Our unique GPS barcode scanning software,
PathTrak, allows you to follow the progress in real-time of the courier handling your delivery, with a full
electronic time, date and location stamped audit trail.

Specimen and pathology transportationOur dedicated programme provides a wealth of experience across the various aspects of clinical transportation, from the collection of routine specimens to the urgent transportation of emergency transfusion blood, organs and tissue for transplantation.
Our national network enables us to provide a single-source courier solution, without the need to subcontract collections to third-party providers. This means you are guaranteed continuity of service and a high level of security.
CitySprint Healthcare provide specialist specimen and sample transportation services nationwide to a range of clients including NHS Foundation Trusts, Acute Trusts, Teaching Hospitals and the private hospital and diagnostic sectors.

Diagnostic Pathology Courier:the collection of specimens for routine or urgent diagnosis.
Therapeutic Pathology Courier: the collection of tissue, organs, bloods or cells for transplantation.

Diagnostic Pathology Courier
As part of our Diagnostic Pathology Courier services, our team of specialised GMP trained couriers will work with your GP liaison teams to provide a fully tailored service to each surgery, covering extended opening hours, weekend collections and rural routes.
Our GP surgery and clinic specimen transport service offers extensive value and professional integrity to the collection of patient samples and the delivery of consumables within your local Health Authority catchment area.
Therapeutic Pathology Courier
We provide quick response ad-hoc collections and transportation for emergency blood transfusion units and organs for donation. We provide a direct, personal delivery to the theatre or blood bank.
Our teams are also trained in the transportation of stem cells, cord blood and bone marrow.

PathTrak is our scalable, live tracking system for patient specimens, biopsies and blood transfusion units.
Using sophisticated GPS ‘track and trace’ and barcode scanning technology, PathTrak provides a live GPS position throughout the specimens’ collection and transportation process and a full electronic time, date and location stamped audit trail.

Specimens can be tracked individually, by bag, batch or by container. RFID and 2D barcoding technology promotes lean processes and ensures high productivity and complete transparency throughout the logistics process. Hospital based courier servicesOur hospital based suite of transport solutions is designed to work alongside your existing in-house transport service. Our services meet the needs of both clinical and non clinical users and departments, ranging from the urgent collection of patient specimens, to inter-site solutions such as postal and porterage services and the transportation of linen, x-rays and patient records.
Working within your hospital, we provide integrated solutions to help manage the final mile delivery of consumables, medical devices, pharmacy items, records and CSSD materials.
By using internal and external barcode and RFID tracking solutions for your facility, you can rest easy knowing that every item will be collected from and delivered to the correct locations each and every time. Our dedicated pharmaceutical teams are experts in the distribution of over the counter (OTC) products, finished products, sensitive clinical trial research materials and investigational drugs.
Our temperature controlled or load area compartmentalised vehicles are used to maintain a cold chain throughout the distribution cycle.

To support Clinical Research and Development programmes, our service handles all aspects of worldwide clinical trial transport and shipping protocols.
Our dedicated clinical trials team are trained to understand the essential time, temperature and speed requirements that are unique to clinical trials. We will arrange the end-to-end transportation of temperature controlled clinical specimens, which are vital to the growth of your new medicine pipelines.
Clinical trials We ensure your shipping protocols meet prescribed regulations for the movement of pharmaceutical compounds and specimens. Temperature stability data is available using a range of electronic data loggers .
We also provide a range of packing solutions to collaborator sites within the UK and globally.
A number of temperature controlled environments are available, including passive validated shipping solutions, which maintain 2–8°, -20° or -70° for 24, 48 or 96 hours.
Our trained pharmaceutical couriers provide cold chain solutions for daily fixed route deliveries; this includes OTC medicines, controlled drugs and specials.
