Dear Resident CITYLINK TULLA WIDENING: NEW RETAINING WALL AND PAVEMENT CONSTRUCTION AROUND THE POND OF MOONEE PONDS CREEK, PARKVILLE We are writing to inform you about pavement construction works that will continue in your area as part of the CityLink Tulla Widening project. The CityLink Tulla Widening project involves adding lanes and other measures to improve the flow of traffic across the 24 kilometre section of freeway from the CityLink tunnels to Melbourne Airport. The project will also provide travel time savings per trip between Melbourne Airport and the West Gate Freeway during peak periods. The project will deliver a safer, more reliable freeway. Generally, an additional lane is being added in each direction, as well as upgrades at key interchanges including Bell Street, Mount Alexander Road/Flemington Road and on the Bolte Bridge to West Gate Freeway entry ramp. CPB Contractors is the construction contractor for the Bulla Road to Power Street section of the project. Where we will be We will continue to work within the pond of Moonee Ponds Creek, Parkville as shown in blue on the map below.

We are writing to inform you about pavement construction works that will continue in your area as part of the CityLink Tulla Widening project.

When works will occurWorks will continue from March to July 2016. Our construction hours will be 7am to 6pm Monday to Saturday. On occasions we may need to work outside of these time frames to ensure public and worker safety. We will notify you in advance of any changes to these hours.Please note no works will take place over the Easter period.

What we are doing Building up and making level the side of the pond next to the Flemington Road off ramp for the

piling rig to work Driving in pre-made concrete piles to stabilise the ground Constructing the new support wall Placement of new pavement to widen the Flemington Road off ramp.

What you may notice during construction Construction personnel at work Noise from heavy equipment when in use around the pond, such as the piling rig when driving

in the piles, excavators, trucks and site vehicles These works will not impact your property.

We are committed to keeping residents informed and minimising the inconvenience during construction, while keeping the community and our workers safe at all times. Managing and protecting the environment is also important to us and we are working with local and state government adhering to environmental laws to ensure the impact to the natural ecosystem is minimised.

This work may be rescheduled in the event of unsuitable weather or other unavoidable circumstances.
