The Vision Statement of Citygate Church
Citygate Church exists to powerfully affect our generation by building a large, dynamic andinfluential church, where people areequipped to fulfill their destiny; radically transforming our world.
Citygate Church is passionate about it’s purpose; we know who we are,why we’re here and where we’re going.

Passion for God Everything we do and say comes from our desire to please God and do His will with exuberance, integrity and commitment that is second to none. From corporate praise and worship to personal prayer, we express our passion for God with enthusiasm.
Love for People People are the crown of God’s creation. Citygate exists to actively demonstrate the love of God and honour people of all ages and from all walks of life and ethnicity, resisting exclusivity and bad attitude like the plague.
Empowering Church members are equipped, nurtured and trained in an encouraging and progressive environment to maximise our potential.
Vision We all run with the vision of Citygate, which gives purpose, motivation and unifies the Church.
Generosity The outworking of love is to give. We live life with a thankfulness and appreciation, which reflects in our generosity towards the church and others.
Serving Every person serving the life of the Church and the community with their unique talents and abilities is necessary to build a healthy church environment. No matter how old or young we may be, we all have an important part to play.
Excellence Everything we do, both within the Church and the community, is done with excellence, demonstrating the character and nature of God; people deserve the best!
Influence Jesus declared the Church to be a City on a Hill – the hub of the community. We take an active part in building the local and wider community by applying the principles and wisdom of God.
Making God Famous We promote the gospel and encourage people to say “Yes” to Jesus Christ by example, relationship and relevant invitation.
Connection Citygate is a growing group of people with a commitment to God and to each other. Gathering together, on Sundays and in Connect Groups, is of the highest priority in order to grow together, grow strong and grow big.
