What is Play Your Way Online?Play Your Way Online is our new registration system for Recreation Guide courses, membership purchases and City of London facility availability, information and some booking opportunities.

Why are we changing how you register?The City of London has been using their current program registration system for over 20 years and is upgrading to modernize your customer experience. Play Your Way Online will be launching for Spring & Summer 2020 registration. See Important Dates on page 2 for more details.

What’s different about Play Your Way Online?Featuring a streamlined and simplified service, Play Your Way Online will make finding and registering for courses faster than ever, ensuring everyone who logs in will be instantly connected.• Easy access from your computer, tablet or smart phone

24/7, 365 days a year• Option to store your credit card information securely on

your account for faster payments• Login with your e-mail address and create your own

password• Advanced search options to find courses and facility

information

Can I use my old client ID and family pin number from Spectrum Online?No. Our new registration system will require a new login based on your e-mail and a password of your choosing.

I do not have an e-mail, how do I register for a new account?You are able to register in person at one of our 8 customer service locations or by phone (519-661-5575).

How will I get my new login?All customers will be given the opportunity to create a new account and login to Play Your Way Online starting March 5th, 2020. However, some customers will have accounts created for them (see below for details). We will be following up with all of our current customers with more information on how to create your new account and login to view upcoming courses. Accounts will be automatically created in the new system for customers who meet one or more of the following criteria:• Customers with term memberships expiring on or after

March 10th, 2020. Examples include 3-month aquatic passes, annual seniors centre, community centre and Storybook memberships

• Customers with an active punch pass purchased since July 1st, 2018. Examples include senior fitness, aquatics and community centre drop-in passes

• Users with active Play Your Way funding expiring on or after March 10th, 2020

• Customers with unused account credits dating back to July 1st, 2018

• PLEASE NOTE: If you have a credit on your current account from prior to July 1st 2018 you will have to contact customer service (519-661-5575) to have it brought over to your new account .

It’s About Participation! The City of London provides introductory, affordable and accessible programming for all ages with goals of increasing participation and improving quality of life.

Inclusion and Accessibility The City of London is committed to providing access to services and activities for all persons and abilities. Participants who require extra support to attend a program are welcome to bring a volunteer/support worker at no additional cost. Please feel free to speak with the Program Supervisor to discuss how we can accommodate your needs.

Financial Assistance Policy Any City of London resident unable to cover the full costs of recreation programs can apply for financial assistance. Approval is based on family household income and documentation is required. Assistance may cover up to 100% of the program costs up to a maximum of $300 per person for 12 months from the date of approval. Please call 519.661.5575 or email [email protected] to speak with our customer service staff for more information on how to apply.

Age Policy We specify age requirements across our programs to ensure the ability of participants and course content is balanced. We will accept registration of a participant if they will be turning the required age during the course.

RZone Our RZone policy emphasizes respect and responsible behaviour while participating in City of London programs or visiting one of our recreation facilities with the goal of maintaining a positive environment for everyone. To learn more, visit our website at london.ca/PYWOnline.

Passes & Memberships We offer a number of different passes for City of London Recreation Facilities including pools, golf courses, senior centres, and Storybook Gardens, as well as certain programs. Please call 519.661.5575 or email [email protected] to speak with our customer service staff for more information.

Bring a Friend To encourage maximum participation, the City of London may offer a Bring a Friend opportunity to select classes where registration numbers are below capacity. Registered participants will be given the opportunity to bring one person to a one time only class trial (at no additional charge). The City reserves the right to restrict the number of participants attending these sessions based on availability and capacity.

Photographic Devices Please be advised that use of cellular phones, digital cameras, or other video recording devices is not permitted in our change room and bathroom facilities. We request that members of the public report immediately to staff any individual who is using this equipment in these areas.

Health and Welfare We ask for your assistance in supporting our efforts to provide a safe environment for everyone to participate in. If you have a communicable condition/health concern (ex. head lice, chicken pox, etc.) please do not attend your program until you have recovered. In addition, all City of London facilities are peanut-free/scent-free environments for the safety of those with severe allergies.

If you are unsure of your ability to participate, please consult a physician before enrolling in physical activity programs and be aware of your limits and required modifications.

Program Fees Please note that program fees may vary based on the session selected. Prices listed online via Play Your Way are accurate. Registration prices do not include applicable taxes.

Program Cancellations In poor weather, Parks & Recreation programs will be cancelled if London Transit Commission is unable to provide public transportation. There may be other instances where programs must be cancelled due to pre-emption of program space, instructor illness or other circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, we will make every effort to contact you about the cancellation and will either make up the class or compensate participants for lost time.

Waitlists If a program is full, you can add your name to the waitlist. If a spot becomes available, customer service staff will contact you to reconfirm your interest in that program. You will have until the end of the next business day to contact customer service to register and pay for the reserved spot. After this timeframe, the spot will be offered to the next person on the waitlist.

Transfers Transfers to another course prior to the start date of the original program may be processed without penalty if space is available.

Withdrawal & Refund Policy If the City of London cancels a recreation program a full credit or refund will be issued. The effective date of the withdrawal is the date the withdrawal request is received by Parks & Recreation Customer Service, regardless of whether or not the participant attended the program.

• For withdrawal requests made more than 10 business days prior to the start of the program, your account will be credited in full. This applies to all programs EXCEPT summer day camps and summer swim lessons, which you can withdraw from up to 3 business days prior to start of the program.

• For withdrawal requests made 10 business days or less up until the start of the first class, your account will be credited 75% of the program fee.

• For withdrawal requests made after the first class up until the start of the third class, you will be credited 75% of the program fee AFTER a per class fee for all program dates that have already occurred (regardless of attendance) have been deducted. Credits can remain on your family account for any future use towards programs or services.

• No credits or refunds will be issued after the start of the third class.

• Requests for withdrawals due to medical reasons will only be accommodated if accompanied by a medical note and must be submitted prior to the completion of the program.

• Refunds will be processed back to you by way of the original method of payment.

NEW Leadership Program Withdrawal Policy This policy applies to all Aquatic Leadership Programs (Bronze Star and above), First Aid Programs and Leader in Training (LIT) Programs.

• For withdrawal or transfer requests made more than 10 business days prior to the start of the program, your account will be credited in full.

• For withdrawal or transfer requests made 10 business days or less up until the start of the first class, your account will be credited 50% of the program fee.

• Requests for withdrawal or transfer beyond the start of the program will only be considered for medical reasons or on compassionate grounds. Supporting documentation for these requests must be submitted prior to the completion of the program.

Do I need to bring anything to the program or wear anything specific for the program?

Floor Hockey: A CSA approved helmet with face mask is mandatory for ALL children AND parent/caregivers. Participants are required to supply their own fitted helmet and will not be allowed to play without one. No outside sticks will be allowed and will be supplied by the City of London.

Art: Please wear clothes you are prepared to get messy. Unless stated in the description/alert and or confirmation text, all other supplies are included.

Yoga: Please bring your own mat.

Rock Climbing: All equipment is supplied. Please wear comfortable clothing and clean running shoes.

Sports: Please wear comfortable clothing and indoor non marking running shoes.

Tennis/Badminton: Please bring your own racquet.

Squash: Please bring your own racquet and eye protection.

Music: Please bring you own instrument based on the class you registered for (ie. Guitar, Ukulele).

Photography: Please bring your own camera.
