Area: More than just a prime county-seat location, Marysville is at the intersection of

seven major highways. The confluence of these major roadways makes

Marysville an important crossroads for the county and the region, and have

helped make Union County the third fastest growing county in the state.

Employers: Marysville is the headquarters for Scotts Miracle-Gro Corp. and is also the

location of the first production facility opened by Honda in the United States,

Marysville Auto Plant, located about six miles northwest of the city (Honda Motor

Co. is upping its recent Ohio investments by another $215 million (8/17/2013). It

is also home to Univenture, which manufactures and markets media packaging, a

major Nestle research and development facility, a Continental conveyor belt

manufacturing facility, and a regional Parker Hannifin manufacturing facility.

Location: City Gate sits prominently at the intersection of Routes 33/36 & Delaware

Avenue.

Zoning: Traffic Oriented Commercial (TOC) provides areas for orderly development of

commercial uses that generate high traffic volumes and an increasing probability

of vehicle traffic congestion on abutting public roadways. These uses generally

require larger tracts of land used for parking and/or vehicle storage and will

normally service regional needs as opposed to neighborhood needs.
