If you have not hired a boat from City Cruises before we strongly recommend that youarrange to view at least one or more of the boats, to ensure that you select the right vesselfor the event, before completing the order form.

Examples of menus, entertainment and decoration are enclosed and we will be happy toarrange meetings as necessary with our Food & Beverage Manager and/or Head Chef todiscuss all aspects of your catering and service requirements.

The Charter Fleet

City Cruises has an extensive fleet of River Thames cruisers available for private charter. In all shapes and sizes, suiting all sizes of budgets, they can accommodate from 2 – 350 guests for buffet, sit down orcanapé-style events. For your very own private sight seeing trips, you could take even more, with roomfor up to 600 people.

Our newly built flagship vessel, Millennium Diamond, is a first for the river Thames. With the feel of acruise liner, floor to sealing panoramic windows and a bar spanning the entire length of the aft of the saloon,she is the perfect venue for any event, function, party or reception. She has state of the art audio and visual equipment including built in sound system, dance floor, party lighting, 6 LED screens and drop down projectorscreen. Facilities include a separate disabled toilet and built in chair lift to the vast top deck.

We have four modern RiverLiners™ to choose from, all with capacity for up to 495 passengers. Withpanoramic windows in the lower saloon and an open top deck, they are suitable for your very own tailor-made sightseeing trip (we can provide commentary in six languages too). Equally, with on-board catering, twobars and a dance floor, they could be the venue for a birthday or wedding celebration, a good old party, or aspecial group or corporate event. Facilities include men and women’s toilets and all are wheel chair accessible.

Newly refurbished, the London is perfect for any function whether it be lunch on a sunny afternoon, a dinnerwith live entertainment, a family party or a business presentation. She can seat 100 people at tables, she has aspacious dance floor, a built-in sound system, two bars, panoramic windows, and she is wheel chair accessiblewith separate disabled toilet facilities. She is also available for your very own private sightseeing trip (up to 350passengers) and her wide open upper deck means you can nearly touch the breath taking scenery of London.

Perfect for a small more intimate gathering the Mayflower Garden can host a formal lunch or dinner for50 people, buffet for 60 or a standing finger buffet for 100 people. There is a dance floor so you can danceyour cares away whilst looking at the best views in town and an open top deck to get those ‘must have’ shotsof London. She is also equipped with a bar, toilets, is wheelchair accessible. Being smaller than most boats inour fleet she can travel further up river past Westminster and the Houses of Parliament too.

Again one of our smaller vessels the Eltham has two enclosed open-plan decks with a distinct club feel soshe is perfect for parties, prom or graduation nights. The lower deck is ideal for private dining, and you can justpop upstairs when you’re ready to hit the dance floor. There is a bar on each level and outside areas at thefront of each deck. The Eltham comes with its own DJ area too so you can bring your own or we’ll happilyarrange one for you.

Recently refurbished, the Westminster has an elegant teak-lined saloon that’s perfect for private dining, achampagne or a cocktail cruise. She can seat 60 people for lunch or dinner, 70 for a buffet or 80 for a drinksand canapés reception. And, with a wide open upper deck with seating round the edge of the boat – she’s agreat setting for an open top cruise with live music!

Ideal for transporting small groups over short distances in comfort. The Princess Rose is a single-deck vessel with an enclosed saloon and fully-upholstered perimeter and island seating. She has an open area at the front too, which is great for taking those all important photos to show your friends and family back home. The newly refurbished Eleanor Rose is a double-deck vessel. The upper deck is ideal for private dining or areception and the lower saloon makes for a perfect dance floor. A small outside area is accessible to the frontof the boat.

For those of you that like a bit more pace, this will give you a full-on adrenaline-fuelled ride of your life. Theonly jet boat fleet on the river (apart from The Police or Military boats which patrol the Thames), this a newthrill ride that’s great for birthdays, corporate events, team building or stag and hen parties… you name it! Our 12 seater Jet Boat can be hired out for an hour to a full day and, for that special occasion, we can alsoprovide lunch, dinner, canapés and drinks at The Hispaniola (our permanently moored sister ship) just a fewminutes walk from Westminster Pier. Come on ….have some fun!!!!

DEFINITIONS: In the following Terms and Conditions; the “Hirer” shall be deemed to be the person responsible for charteringthe vessel; the “Company” shall be deemed to be City Cruises plc; the “Captain” shall be deemed to be the person appointed bythe Company to be in charge of the vessel for the duration of the charter or the person nominated by the Company to takeover the role of Captain in the event of the incapacity, for any reason, of the appointed Captain.

HIRE FEE: A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the boat hire is payable on booking. The balance, including costs of catering,music and any other requirements is to be paid no later than 14 days prior to the date of function. If the Hirer cancels within 6 weeks of the date booked he/she will remain liable for the full costs of the hire, unless the company is able to re-let the vesselfor that date. You must be over 21 years of age to enter into this hire agreement. By signing the contract you have confirmed yourage at time of hire. Please note it is against the law to hire a boat if you are under the age of 21.

CONTROL OF THE VESSEL: During the hire, the vessel will remain at all times under the complete control of the Captain. Ifthe Captain considers it necessary to vary the duration, destination or route of the charter due to the actions or behaviour of thehire party or due to weather, tidal or other reasons his orders will be obeyed by the Hirer. In such instance, the Company will notbe liable under any circumstances for any expenses incurred by the Hirer as a result of such variation in the charter. If it is neces-sary to vary the charter due to actions or behaviour of the hire party, the Hirer will be liable for all expensesand any consequential loss caused by such variation.

LIABILITY OF COMPANY: The Company will not be liable for any loss, damage or delay to any persons or their possessionswhilst embarking or disembarking from the vessel or at any time during the charter which may arise from or be in any way connected with any act, omission or negligence of any person employed by the Company. The Company will not be liable fordeath or personal injury to any persons resulting from any act or omission other than the Company’s negligence.

DAMAGE OR LOSS: The Hirer will be liable for any loss or damage to the vessel or equipment or for any delay howsoevercaused by them or by persons in their party. The cost of such loss or damage to the vessel or equipment will be charged for atcost price and where appropriate the cost of labour will also be included in such costs. In the event of any loss or damage to thevessel or equipment or for any delay caused by the Hirer or by persons in their party, the Hirer will be liable for all consequentiallosses of the Company, which may arise. Before embarkation the Hirer is invited to inspect the vessel.

THE VESSEL: The Company reserves the right to substitute the vessel chartered with another vessel and, if necessary, toalter the destination, duration or route of the charter or cancel the Charter for reasons such as, but not limited to, mechanicalfailure, weather and tidal conditions which are beyond its control. In such instances the Company will not be liable in any event forany expenses or consequential loss incurred by the Hirer or members of the Hirer’s party caused by such substitution, alterationor cancellation.
