Preparing for successful partnership...

• Remember the importance of dependability. Your partnership furthers the work of your agency and they are counting on you.

• Uphold agency policies, procedures and confidentiality.• Get support from Redding LIFE: ask questions, request help,

enjoy Redding LIFE gatherings for community connection.• Consider asking God how He wants to bless your agency - pray,

declare, expect.• Ask questions and seek to understand. Offer suggestions only

when invited.• Share positive stories that you hear about our city, big and small!• Arrive prepared to serve, set aside personal issues as much as

possible.• Be encouraging - look for God’s beautiful craftsmanship in the

people around you.• When you commit to an on-going position, give your agency

supervisor ample notice if your availability changes or you would like to change your involvement. (1-2 months is recommended)

While these points might sound like common sense, it’s important to us that you feel supported, at ease, and solidly

prepared to succeed in your volunteer partnership.

THANKS FOR TAKING YOUR PLACE IN OUR CITY.WE NEED YOU!

Your Contribution CommitmentAgencies invest considerable time training volunteers. Consider committing to a 3-6month term if you accept an on-going (every week/month) position within an agency.
