Citrix XenApp – Intelligent enterprise application managementConventional client-server LAN environments depend heavily on client application services. This means more time devoted to deployment and support since each client must be serviced individually. Network traffic also increases as common instructions must be sent to and from each client. In a Citrix XenApp environment, applications are installed and shared on a network server. Users access shared applications rather than those installed on their PCs. The end results are easier administration and decreased network traffic.

What is Print Utility for Citrix XenApp?This free print utility from Fuji Xerox vastly expands print services available under Citrix XenApp. In standard Citrix environments, only certain print options are available to network users — even when using full-featured Fuji Xerox printers and multifunction devices. This can lead to less than desirable output and disappointed users. Print Utility for Citrix XenApp solves this problem. Easily installed on both servers and clients, it lets network users access nearly the entire range of print and finishing options of Fuji Xerox devices.

Printing in Citrix XenAppWhen printing in Citrix XenApp, client printers are created automatically on the server. These are called Auto Created Client Printers (ACCPs) and have limited functionality. The ACCP allows users to print anywhere in the XenApp network without the need for printer drivers to be installed on the server.

Administrators will appreciate the client module auto update feature of Print Utility for Citrix XenApp. Simply update the utility on the server and each client will automatically have the privilege to update their module as needed. No administrator password is required. This timesaving feature does away with the need for client rollouts when new versions become available.

Note: Auto update of client modules only works if Print Utility for Citrix XenApp version 3.0 is installed on the server and version 2.0 or later is installed on the client.
