• Hengrove forum

• Keeping the house gardens well maintained, litter free

• Would be interesing to join another neighbourhood graffiti clean-up. We had one a couple (maybe three) yars ago. Maintain planters in the street.

• Monitor planning applications via Council website

• Member of ANPFR, working with BCC for a community led redevelopment of Redcliffe

• I have written sometimes to most of these, but in truth I used to spend A LOT of time trying to improve this area as part of the South Street Park Improvement group. Thankfully some improvements have come of the time that was infested, but not nearly enough. I wouldn't spend that time again as it was just not productive enough for the input that local people gave. The council did not back us up or show support. It took about two years just to get a dog litter bin put up. I'd be happy to put in the time if I thought something would come of it, but as a group we ended up fighting for things and raising money for things that we could have put in oursleves at a much cheaper price and much more quickly. If local groups are encouraged to develop, they MUST be supported by the council, not just verbally, but with actions.

• Try to get others to recycle and not to put recycleable objects and waste in their black bins. Look for road alterations and see if they are helping the environment or making conditions worse. This may be by slowing down traffic and thus increasing air pollution.

• There is nothing that goes on locally to help in any of these situations. I would not intervene in anything on my own because I am over 60, and disabled. I have had my car vandalized numerous times, but I don’t usually even bother to report it - all you get is a Crime

• I believe the council members only care about their own publicity and next to that, Banksy. They should be ashamed of cutting back on services to children, support groups and old people and then subsidising Americans to daub in Nelson Street. Tagging has increased incredibly and especially "DBK" which is everywhere, including incised into our front wall.

• Have taken part to police surveys of safety/security/performance etc. I think there should be neighbourhood work. But I don't think this exists in Southmeed Road. I try to keep an eye on neighbour property but have been quite disappointed with police response with crime reported.
