These tournaments may be organized directly by District Associations or by other organisers under the auspices of the concerned District Associations. Guidelines for conduct of tournaments are: 1. State Championships 1.1 The tournament to be organized directly by District Association or by other organisers under the auspices of the concerned District Association. 1.2 The Organisers / Host should compulsorily give cash prizes to winners and runners of all events held. 1.3 The Organisers / Host should provide a minimum of two badminton courts and the surface of these courts may be of either wood or synthetic rubber / material. 1.4 KBSA appointed Referee / Deputy Referee will reach the venue one day before and will be present during the championships. The Organisers / Host should provide accommodation and food to the officials. TA / DA are to be paid by the Organisers / Host as per KBSA rules. 1.5 KBSA will provide umpires for the tournament. The Organisers / Host should provide accommodation and food to the Technical Officials. TA / DA are to be paid by the Organisers / Host as per KBSA rules. 1.6 The Organisers / Host should arrange for sufficient number of Line Judges for the smooth conduct of the tournament. 1.7 KBSA will depute one observer for the tournament. The Organisers / Host should provide accommodation and food to the observer. TA / DA are to be paid by the Organisers / Host as per KBSA rules. 1.8 Transport facility to be arranged for Technical Officials and KBSA observer by the Organisers / Host 1.9 The Organisers / Host should provide a minimum of one separate dressing room each for boys and girls at the venue of the tournament. 1.10 The Organisers / Host should arrange for refreshments, snacks and dispensable drinking water to be made available at the venue during tournament days. Consumers to pay for the food consumed.

CIRCULAR

Sub: Guidelines for Conduct of State / Ranking tournaments State / Ranking tournaments are sanctioned only to KBSA affiliated units of District Associations. These tournaments may be organized directly by District Associations or by other organisers under the auspices of the concerned District Associations. Guidelines for conduct of tournaments are:

1. State Championships

1.1 The tournament to be organized directly by District Association or by other organisers under the auspices of the concerned District Association. 1.2 The Organisers / Host should compulsorily give cash prizes to winners and runners of all events held. 1.3 The Organisers / Host should provide a minimum of two badminton courts and the surface of these courts may be of either wood or synthetic rubber / material. 1.4 KBSA appointed Referee / Deputy Referee will reach the venue one day before and will be present during the championships. The Organisers / Host should provide accommodation and food to the officials. TA / DA are to be paid by the Organisers / Host as per KBSA rules. 1.5 KBSA will provide umpires for the tournament. The Organisers / Host should provide accommodation and food to the Technical Officials. TA / DA are to be paid by the Organisers / Host as per KBSA rules. 1.6 The Organisers / Host should arrange for sufficient number of Line Judges for the smooth conduct of the tournament. 1.7 KBSA will depute one observer for the tournament. The Organisers / Host should provide accommodation and food to the observer. TA / DA are to be paid by the Organisers / Host as per KBSA rules. 1.8 Transport facility to be arranged for Technical Officials and KBSA observer by the Organisers / Host 1.9 The Organisers / Host should provide a minimum of one separate dressing room each for boys and girls at the venue of the tournament. 1.10 The Organisers / Host should arrange for refreshments, snacks and dispensable drinking water to be made available at the venue during tournament days. Consumers to pay for the food consumed.

1.11 Sufficient Quantities of Yonex Shuttles will be provided by KBSA for conduct of the championship. The Organisers / Host should arrange for safe keeping and security of shuttles and also make arrangements to collect used shuttles and return them to KBSA. 1.12 The Organisers / Host should arrange for two qualified doctors to be made available during the tournament days in the event for injury treatment. Payments to be made by Organisers / Host

1.13 KBSA will be responsible for providing Merit / Participation Certificates to Prize Winners. The Organisers / Host should pay an amount of Rs 3000/- to KBSA as printing charges for the same. 1.14 Software for electronic scoreboard will be provided by KBSA for a fee of Rs 1000/- per tournament. The Organisers / Host should arrange for providing one lap top, one LCD TV (minimum 42 inches) and sufficient length of connecting VGA cable. 1.15 The Organisers / Host should ensure that media covers the event properly. The Referee will be providing the daily results on demand. 1.16 Official photographer to be arranged by the Organisers / Host for the tournament and photographs of conduct of tournament to be forwarded to KBSA.. 1.17 Yonex being the equipment sponsor, the Organisers / Host should prevent the name of any other competitor or brand manufacturer being advertised or promoted at the venue. In the event of an infringement of this clause, KBSA will be entitled to instruct the organizers to remove any such objects / materials. 1.18 KBSA reserves the right to position 8 A Boards around each badminton court and advertisement on each side of the umpire’s chair and around the service judge’s chair at the venue. 1.19 Entry fee from players shall be collected by KBSA and the Organisers / Host shall not have any share of the entry fee collected.

1.20 The Organisers / Host should provide free decent accommodation for two days for

players representing the Districts in Inter District Championships. Each District to be provided free accommodation as in the table given below
