The single-family residence

renovation represents a forward

thinking approach to desert life.

The pure structure cuts a clean sharp

edge through the revegetative desert

landscape. The added program focus

in the renewed design is to perforate

the original frame of the existing

home to allow a vibrant, natural day-

lighting experience.

SODA ROW

A pedestrian friendly, neigh-

borhood, environment of eight

articulated buildings of 140,000

s.f., Soda Row is designed with a

purposeful approach to connecting

people to place that is responsive

and flexible.

Soda Row will be LEED Silver

certified, exemplifying, sustain-

able site and building elements

throughout. Native plant

species suited to the condition

of the site. Building elements

also include high albedo roofing

material to reduce heat absorption

and photovaltaic panels integrated

into the roof system.

neighborhood, with an emphasis

on identity, connectivity to

neighbors and gathering spaces.

An articulated entry lobby,

highlight transparency to the

street, while providing live/

work environments above. The

residential condominiums offer

excellent adaptability through

sound vertical core layouts.

Moveable translucent screen

walls along the glass line allow

individual condominium owners to

manage sunlight.
