Mensaje del directora,  A medida que nos acercamos al último trimestre del año escolar, los estudiantes de Cirby están muy motivados para alcanzar sus metas de fin de año. ¡Su apoyo y la experiencia de nuestros maestros, sumados al entusiasmo de su hijo/hija por aprender, es la fórmula perfecta para el éxito! Pronto estaremos listos para las pruebas estatales CAASPP (Evaluación del Desempeño y Progreso de los Estudiantes de California) de este año, todos los estudiantes de 3º a 5º grado participarán en esta prueba. Los estudiantes de 5º grado comenzarán los exámenes de Ciencias el 9 de abril, los estudiantes de 3º y 4º comenzarán el 24 de abril. Este es un momento muy importante para que los estudiantes se enfoquen y muestren sus conocimientos y logros académicos. Las asignaturas que se evaluarán incluyen Lenguaje y Literatura en Inglés, Matemáticas y Ciencias (solo en 5º grado). Asegúrese de que sus hijos asista a la escuela todos los días y a tiempo durante este tiempo de exámenes que termina el 8 de mayo. Con una buena noche de sueño y un desayuno saludable, los estudiantes tendrán una mejor oportunidad de dar lo mejor de sí mismos. Lo más importante es mantener una actitud positiva en los días de exámenes y revisar nuestras expectativas escolares con sus hijos ... Mostrar respeto, tomar buenas decisiones y resolver problemas. Tenemos dos emocionantes eventos familiares para el mes de abril. Nuestro Cirby Eagles PTC está patrocinando una Noche de Cine Familiar el 5 de abril a las 6:00, que se llevará a cabo en Hillcrest Church, 911 Hillcrest Ave, directamente a la salida de Keehner. Además, están también invitándolos  a Skate Night en Roller King, 889 Riverside Ave. El costo es de $ 5 por patinador. ¡Este será un evento familiar divertido! Espero verlos en estos eventos familiares. Por favor marquen su calendario y guarden estas fechas! Finalmente, me gustaría agradecer a todas las familias que han apoyado a nuestra escuela contribuyendo con tiempo, energía y dinero en nuestros eventos recientes para recaudar fondos, Square 1 Art y Nuestras Cenas Familiares.  Sra. Quinlan

 ¿INTERRUPCIONES? Una solicitud frecuente por parte de los padres de familia que tenemos en la oficina es para entregar un artículo o mensaje para algún estudiante y esto se convierte en una interrupción. Puede ser un almuerzo, una botella de agua, un abrigo, una tarea, un libro de la biblioteca o un mensaje sobre qué hacer después de la escuela. Ayúdenos asegurándose de informarle a su hijo/hija para que pase por la oficina para recoger un artículo si es que usted lo va a dejar en la oficina. Además, asegúrese de que sus hijos sepan cuáles serán sus los arreglos que habrán de hacer después de la escuela antes de que los dejen por la mañana. Como cortesía, hacemos todo lo posible para asegurarnos de que las cosas que dejan en los oficina para sus hijos y los mensajes lleguen a su destino deseado, pero no podemos ofrecer ninguna garantía. Con el fin de minimizar las interrupciones en el aula, los maestros serán notificados por correo electrónico de las cosas que ustedes dejen en la oficina. Tenga en cuenta que entendemos que ocasionalmente surgen emergencias y que no siempre se pueden hacer los arreglos después de la escuela con anticipación. Por favor avísenos y haremos todo lo posible para enviar el mensaje a su/sus hijos. Gracias por su ayuda y comprensión en este asunto.

escuela: Con el clima cada vez más cálido, las sudaderas y los suéteres se están convirtiendo en algo del pasado. Solo un recordatorio les queremos hacer de que las camisetas sin mangas, las blusas con tirantes de espagueti, los shorts muy cortos y las chancletas no están permitidos en la escuela. Padres de familia, por favor ayúdenos a hacer cumplir este código siendo conscientes de lo que sus hijos usan para venir a la escuela. ¡Gracias por tu ayuda!

Oakmont High School Basketball is pleased to announce our redesigned Summer 2018 basketball camp series for BOYS and GIRLS currently in grades kindergarten through 7th grade.

PLAYMAKER TRAINING: FOR PLAYERS IN CURRENTLY IN GRADES 3-7 FOR THE 2018-2019 SCHOOL YEAR JUNE 10TH-JUNE 13TH 2019 FROM 9AM-2:30PM

CAMP DESCRIPTION This camp will focus on developing and emphasizing key fundamental individual offensive habits and skills in the area of ball handling, decision making, shooting, scoring, and finishing. Every day will include multiple skill sessions and competitive games meant to implement and enhance skill development for all players. There will be contests and games daily for campers to practice and enhance their new found offensive habits. The camp will be staffed by the Oakmont Basketball Coaching Staff and players currently playing for Oakmont High School and campers will be grouped by skill level and grade.

LITTLE VIKING BALLERS: FOR PLAYERS CURRENTLY IN GRADES K-2 FOR THE 2018-2019 SCHOOL YEAR JUNE 10TH-JUNE 13TH 2019 FROM 9AM-11AM

CAMP DESCRIPTION This camp will focus on developing the fundamental skills of ball handling, shooting, and finishing around the basket. Players will play on lowered rims and with youth sized basketball appropriate to the age level. The camp will be overseen by the Oakmont Basketball Coaching Staff and the players. Campers will be grouped by skill level and grade.

CAMP FACILITIES The camp will be held at Oakmont High School in the Main Gyms AND possibly outdoor basketball courts.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE Campers need to check in daily upon arrival at the check in table. The gym will be open at 8:30 a.m. for free shooting with supervision both weeks. The camp begins at 9 a.m. sharp every day, and ends at 11am for K-2nd graders and 2:30pm for 3-7th graders.

WHAT TO BRING: Playmaker Training Appropriately sized basketball with your name

on it (we will have some available for use) Proper clothing for active athletic activities Lunch daily or money for the snack bar which

COST: The cost for the camp is $70 for the Little Ballers Camp and $125 for Playmakers Training. There is a $25 non-refundable fee for all canceled registrations.
