For this dark and chilly part of the year we have moved the weekly cinema days to Friday - Monday (before we revert back to Sunday - Wednesday in March) and have several exciting films and events in store for our patrons. In the lead-up to the Academy Awards 2013 we are doing a mini- season of some of the nominees for ‘Best Picture’. So there is the chance to revisit Amour and Beasts Of The Southern Wild as well as screenings of Argo and Silver Linings Playbook. For Valentine’s Day we present the wonderful Billy Wilder comedy The Apartment. Triskel Christchurch is also delighted to be hosting the Chinese Film Festival, featuring action, drama, comedy and historical films. There’s a little of everything. February 2013 also sees the first Twisted Celluloid Film Festival. Running over four days, there will be previews of upcoming movies and a few classics. And last but certainly not least, alongside all these films are titles such as the acclaimed French drama Rust And Bone, the fascinating documentary McCullin, and the modern film noir I, Anna. cinema notesFebruary is another packed month for cinema at Triskel Christchurch. For this dark and chilly part of the year we have moved the weekly cinema days to Friday - Monday (before we revert back to Sunday - Wednesday in March) and have several exciting films and events in store for our patrons.
