Christian Institute of Management released a Management Devotional 2012 for the Professionals written by 52 Professionals for 52 weeks. It is coming out in TWO volumes. Volume I (January – June) & Volume II (July – December) 2012.We are glad that Mr. Paul Asveen, Compassion India released the FIRST Volume of the Management Devotional (Jan – June) and Dr. Jeyakumar Christian, National Director - World Vision India received the First copy on 19th Nov ’11 at YWCA. Anand Mahadevan

Anand Mahadevan has been a follower of Jesus Christ since 1993 and a business journalist since 1994. He currently works as the

Associate Editor - Features with The Economic Times. He sees his work as a part of God's calling on his life. He has spoken in

several marketplace conferences and seminars in the country on the “Purpose of Work.”He is married to Ajitha and they have

two children.

Sunil Fernandes

Sunil Fernandes is a practising Chartered Accountant based at Bangalore. As the National President of the International Chris-

tian Chamber of Commerce (Indian Chamber) he teaches on the Supremacy of Christ, specially in the realm of economy and

business, with Christian Businessmen and Professionals and also trains in livelihood means and entrepreneurship. He is also a

member of 'Transforming Network', a network and movement of Christian Leaders on corruption issues. With his wife, Sneha,

they counsel on family issues. They have three children.

Mohan Patnaik

Mohan Patnaik has over 22 years of work experience in Banking and consulting space. He is currently working as Executive

Director in Cognizant based out of Hyderabad. Mohan is actively involved in market place ministry and is part of several

Christian professionals and businessmen networks in the country He is married to Sonia and was blessed with three children

Nikhil, Kushal and Niharika years.

Shekhar Shukla is the National Coordinator of EQUIP INDIA, a Dr John C Maxwell organization involved in global leadership

development programes. He is a soft skill Consultant with Human Dynamic India Limited, a company that provides corporate

solutions. A faculty of the Indo – American Society for the past decade, he has facilitated personality development for hundreds

Victor Jayakaran

Victor Jayakaran, is presently the Managing Director of Identive Technologies (India) Pvt. Ltd. He was with Wipro for more

then 20 years, from 1979 starting off as their first employee (R&D Engineer), till 2000, when he was the Vice President of

Engineering at EnThink, Wipro’s startup venture He joined SCM India as President for its India operations. Then in 2006 he

stepped out of SCM to create SCOLIS Technologies which later was acquired by the Identive Group and merged with his former

company SCM.

Currently serving as CEO of Stylus Systems, a 12 year old Bangalore based IT and finance Management services company.

Mark Raja is a senior designer at Frog, Bangalore. He is involved with India Arts Movement, a network of Christian artists,

inspiring artists to engage their culture in creating the world with more truth, goodness and beauty. He was one of the prime

movers of the God@Work conferences and has been actively involved in marketplace ministries in the country.

Paul Asveen

Mr. Paul Asveen is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. He worked with Citibank, Indonesia as their

Country Business Director for Credit Cards and Personal Loans. After completing his Masters in Divinity at the Trinity

Theological College, Singapore, he served the Methodist Church in Singapore as a Pastor. He served CIM as the Executive

Director and thereafter he joined Compassion India as the Country Director.

Bhaskar N. Venugopal

“Bhaskar heads Learning & Development for an IT organization in Bangalore, India. He is also a lay preacher and enjoys

preaching and teaching God’s Word. Bhaskar enjoys writing poetry and authored “Contemplations of a Glad Heart – SAIACS

Press 2010” a collection of 20 poems. Some of his poems are also featured in other publications “A present to the future –

Vaigarai Publications 2006” and “Ikiya – a magazine for Christian professionals.” Bhaskar lives with his wife Anu and son

Rakshith in Bangalore.”

V.J. Wilson

V. J. Wilson is the Managing Director of the Coimbatore-based small enterprise WILSON EQUIPMENTS Pvt. Ltd. - an ISO

9001 company that manufactures and exports engineering parts and components. He has two decades of technical & managerial

experience. He is dedicated to the calling for Marketplace ministry and is actively involved with the Business Men’s Fellowship

India as its National leader. He had spearheaded several BMFI outreach programmes, chapter planting, conventions and training

programmes during the last 10 years. He is married to Regina. They have 2 sons and a daughter.

Joseph has years of experience in Christian ministry around the world and is an advocate in the Business as Mission movement

Kalpana A. Saxena

Kalpana Saxena has been a teacher for thirty-three years in a Junior College. She has been member of the International Faculty of

Haggai Institute since 1995. She lectures on The Role of Woman in the Home, Church and Community, Goal Setting,

Stewardship of Resources, Evangelism to and through the Family. She also teaches Creative Teaching Methods in Christian

Education for Transformation at St Andrew Centre for Human Resource Development and Counselling. She has authored four

books. Kalpana is married to Augustine. They have two grown-up married children, Sangana their daughter and Kshitij their son.

Pramod Chandrasekhar has worked as Human Resource executive in top Indian IT firms. During his 20 years corporate experi-

Manju George is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and has been in full time practice for the last

23 years. Apart from serving the Lord through her profession she is passionate about reaching believers with the message of

Jacob Ninan

Jacob Ninan served as the Programme Director for International Cooperation at Indian Space Research Organisation HQ. He is

also a trained and accredited Christian counsellor. Currently he is involved in counselling, facilitating counselling training,

writing, editing, speaking, and running his web site called 'Comfort & Counsel'. Apart from a master's degree in engineering, he

also has a master's degree in psychotherapy and counselling. He and his wife live in Bangalore, and they have five grown up

children and three grandchildren.

John B. Samuel

John B. Samuel is a pioneer researcher in the field of talent diagnostics. He serves as the Principal Researcher/Director at Talent

Research Foundation, a non-profit research organisation based in the US. He is the author of the book "Living In Your Zone -

Where Work Becomes Delight" available at Amazon.com. He was born to missionary parents and his father served as a medical

missionary to the Irula tribals in the Niligiri region in South India, between 1955 to 1985. He specialises in helping individual's

identify their God-given talents and gifting.

Saraswathi Shyamal

Saraswathi Shyamal, worked as a financial auditor for non-profit organizations. She is a finance graduate of BITS, Pilani, and has

Bangalore, is passionate about using counseling to help enrich people's lives. She practices counselling in Bangalore, and also

teaches at Christian institutions.

Samuel Gamaliel

Samuel Johnson is an Airlines / Aviation MRO IT Consultant, working for the last 9 years in IT Consulting companies and prior

to that he was working for a couple of Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals manufacturing companies, based out of Chennai. His

passion is to reach out to the unreached professionals in workplaces with the love of Christ by networking and equipping

Christian professionals. He is part of the networking team in Chennai Corporate Fellowship (CCF-www.ccf.org.in) and supports

similar networks such as Synergy in Bangalore and Interface in Hyderabad.

L. P. Nirmal Nathan

L.P. Nirmal Nathan served as Human Resource Director, EL SEIF Engineering Co, Saudi Arabia. He currently is the Director of

his own institution, Santa Maria Matriculation School, Trichy, T.N. He’s a core team member and Bible teacher in Eshcol

National Harvest Festival (ENHF) ministry. He is passionate about teaching and training disciples of Christ with Scriptures and

motivate Christians to excel in everything they are engaged in.

M. Abraham Mathew is an electrical engineer from IIT Madras, and PGDM from IIM Bangalore. He spent 20 years in the

medical imaging and therapy industry. He is now a visiting faculty at Christ University, Bangalore, where he teaches Strategic

Management. His research interest is in ‘Influence of Culture on Business Performance.’ He is involved with the Vacation Bible

School classes in his church for the past 5 years. He is married to Susan, a practicing gynaecologist, and they have a daughter and

a son.

Binu Joshua Thomas

Binu Joshua Thomas started his career in the shipping industry almost 30 years ago and has held management positions in both

Indian companies (J.M Baxi and Tata NYK Ltd) and a Japanese MNC (NYK Logistics Ltd). He currently runs his own shipping

company, Link Shipping South Private Limited. He was based in Kolkata for 14 years before he moved back to Chennai. He has

had a short stint in Mumbai. Binu Thomas has been actively involved in Christian Professionals and Businessmen’s Forum in

India for over 25 years.

Duncan Watkinson

Duncan Watkinson is the Managing Director of TURBOCAM India Pvt. Ltd. as well as Shamasoft Technologies Private Ltd. He

and his wife Vasanti have followed the Lord for many years, living in Australia, England, and India. They have three married

children and four grandchildren. Duncan serves the Lord’s people in different nations with his teaching and training gifts and is

also actively involved in several mercy ministries in India through The SPAN Trust. Duncan has authored several books – the

most recent being Making Your Mark - focused on equipping, teaching, and training Christians in their walk of faith.

Dr. Jamila Koshy

Dr. Jamila Koshy is a psychiatrist working at St. Stephen's Hospital in Delhi. She writes and teaches on various aspects of mental

and spiritual health in today's world. She is actively involved with university mission through UESI, and her local church (Green

Park Free Church) and concerned about the church's involvement in various social issues including gender equality.

PKD Lee

PKD Lee worked as a Mechanical Engineer in the Indian Railways in various capacities for 20 years. He served for 20 years with

Haggai Institute in the Alumni Relations Department which later became the International Advancement department. Has

specialised in Christian Leadership and has taught the subject for 20 years with Haggai Institute and has also authored several

books on Christian leadership such as Add to Your Faith Excellence, Leadership Through Serving etc. He has also been teaching

on Christian Stewardship. He is now retired and settled in Hyderabad.

Joshua Madan

Joshua Madan is the co-founder of Covenant Consultants, the fastest growing staffing firm in India accredited by ERA

(Executive Recruiters Association), Joshua is the Chief Operating Officer at Covenant. An integral part of the Indian recruitment

industry from 2003, Joshua’s skills lie in the identification of emerging industries, setting up of new systems and scaling up

Thomas Stevenson is an Associate with The Institute for Innovation, Integration and Impact Inc, a Silicon Valley think tank and

C. Umashankar

C. Umashankar is a well known IAS officer based in Tamil Nadu, who has earned the reputation of pioneering several State

projects including conceiving and implementing the first e-district in India, Thiruvarur (1999-2001). He was chosen by The

Week magazine as the Man of the Next Millennium among all bureaucrats in India for his potential to change the face of India

Dr. Vinutha Silvanus is a medical doctor who has specialized in Community Medicine (Public Health). Her choice of

specialization was influenced by her desire to serve the under privileged in society. She has worked in State owned and Private

sphere of Public Health. She is currently working in Nepal Medical College, Kathmandu and is looking to contribute in

Jaya Abraham

Jaya Abraham currently serves as VP- HCM and CSR with Welspun Group – an Indian company with global presence in the

space of steel pipes, coils, metal sheets, oil and gas, textiles, and energy. In the last 7 years she has worked with young

professionals in the ITES sector and God has used her as a catalyst to touch lives at her workplace. She has been engaged in

Professor K. Tharu Benny

Professor K. Tharu Benny is a Professor of Marketing in the Rajagiri Business School is a Post Graduate in Business

Administration (MBA) and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Bank Administration (PGDBA) and Post Graduate Diploma in

Dispute Resolution from the Hamline University School of Law, USA. He is a Corporate Trainer, Business Strategist, and

Professional Mentor with 32 years of professional experience in academics and industry. He has played significant role in

Devendra Chowdary

Richard Samuel

After completing BA Philosophy from MCC, Richard Samuel served with TRACI New Delhi along with Vishal Mangalwadi.

He pursued M. Div. at Asbury Seminary, KY. He also served with Crown Financial Ministries and now Compass Ministries

bringing Stewardship teaching to the Church in India. Currently he serves through CBMC, a Market-place ministry. He is also

part of the Christ Community Ministries, a community caring for the poor and forgotten. His passion is understanding God’s

Word for today.

Prof. Jeyakar Chellaraj

Prof. Jeyakar Chellaraj served as the Principal of the famous Bishop Heber College, India. The All India Association for

Christian Higher Education honoured him with the prestigious Fr. T.A. Mathias Award for outstanding and innovative teachers.

The Au Sable Institute in Michigan, USA, honored him as a ‘Fellow of the Au Sable Institute’ in recognition of his leadership

and contributions to Environmental Awareness programs. Professor Chellaraj has a passion for training people and has trained

many through H.I.’s Faculty Development Programs. He is the author of the book titled “Transformational Communication”

published by the India HI.

J. Godwin Prem Singh

J.Godwin Prem Singh is the author of two Value Education books written for the use of Under Graduate Students of Bishop

Heber College (Happy Living and Flying High). J. Godwin Prem Singh was awarded the Bharat Shiksha Ratan Award, for 2008

-09 by the New Delhi-based Global Institute for Health and Educational Growth. He is a trainer for missionaries of Friends

Dr T M Joseph

Dr. T. M. Joseph first took up the position of Consultant Cardio-Thoracic Surgeon, at the "Samaritan Hospital" in Alwaye,

Kerala. God enabled his team to pioneer and establish Open Heart surgery in this state in 1972. In 1976 he moved to The

Medical Trust Hospital in Ernakulam. He served there first as Consultant, later as the Head of the Department of Cardio Thoracic

Surgery and lastly as Dean of the Division of Surgery. He has been active in the ministry both in preaching the Word since

1978, and conducting weekly Bible Studies since 1985.

Dr P James Daniel Paul is a Senior Expert in Investment and Technology Promotion with United Nations Industrial Development
