(residential) for Missions and churches at Kodaikanal

(Tamilnadu) from 5th to 7th March. Leaders from different

organisation. Resource persons were Mr. John Ravindran

(Chartered Accountant), Prof. S.D. Jeyakumar (CIM) and

Mr. J.S. Anbu (CIM).

leaders from different organisations and churches participated and had good time of

learning on these important subjects from Mr. Kandasami (Chartered Accountant) and

Ms. Preeti Kandasami, ACA.

Par t nersh ip Sem inar

Leaders of Ruah Revival Church, Chennai had two-days training on Leadership on

9th and 10th March. Sessions were handled by Mr. Joshua Jesudason (Haggai

Institute) and Mr. J.S. Anbu (CIM).

Assemblies of God Pastors were trained on Leadership

on 13th and 14th March at Madurai. 25 Pastors from

different parts of Madurai attended the program. Mr. J.

S. Anbu, Prof. S.D Jeyakumar and Mr. Varghese Jacob

from CIM were the resource persons.

Orthodox Church, Mumbai training program which was suppose to be held on 22nd

March is postponed.

The Cert i f icate Course in Christian Management (in Basics of Christian

Management) was held from 26th to 30th March for SAFE INDIA, Chennai. Mr. J.S.

Anbu, Prof. Arul Mariyanathan, Prof. S.D. Jeyakumar, Mr. Varghese Jacob, Mr.

Bennet Emmanuel, Mr. Stephen Kumar, Mr. Aby Alexandar and Mr. Sam Blesson

from CIM and Pr. Gnansekaran A.A (LWMC) were served as the resource persons.

The topics covered are Leadership, Introduction to Management, Handling Finances,

Dealing with People, Know your legal rights and responsibilities, How to set Goals,

Project Management, Resource Mobilisation (Indigenous), Networking and

Partnership, and Balancing Family and Ministry.

M.A., MCM, PGDCM and DCM in Christian Management - The exam for the courses

were held from February 27th to 2th March. Coaching classes for Semester-II would

be held in Habitat for Humanity, CNI Bhawan, New Delhi from 17th to 20th April.

Semester-IV coaching classes would be held in Shillong from 15 th to 18th May and in

Chennai from 29th May to 1st June.

Mar t in Lu ther Chr is t ian Un ivers i ty ( MLCU) Practice Schools meeting was held in

the University campus in Shillong on 16th March 2012. The review of present system,

guidelines for future partnership etc. were discussed. Mr. Aby Alexandar represented

CIM in the meeting.

The Feb-March issue has been despatched from the press. The

Cover Story is on Understanding People featuring an exclusive

interview with Mr. John B. Samuel (management consultant) and

researcher in talent diagnostics. The second feature is an article

by Prof. Paul Swamidass who writes on understanding

Personality from the DISC vantage point. An exclusive interview

with the General Secretary of India Missions Association, Rev.

Susanta Patra has been featured.

The Basic Management Handbook which was published last year has been translated

to Tamil. After three editorial revisions the book is now ready for printing which will

be released by mid April. The first print run will be for 5,000 copies. The book will be

immensely useful to Tamil speaking grass-root leaders, pastors, evangelists, fieldworkers, Bible college students in Tamil Nadu and elsewhere who need basic

management tools. The translation has been done in an easy to read format.

The translation of the same handbook in Hindi version has been completed too.

However, the first stage editing process will begin after the release of the Tamil

version.

The materials submitted by the writers are being edited/rewritten. 26 writers from

different professional backgrounds write for 26 weeks on 26 different topics. The

book is scheduled to be released on 26th May.

One-day program for the Christian professionals / businessmen was held at Hotel

Marina Towers, Chennai on 24th March which was attended by 32 participants.

Dr. Prateep V. Philip IPS, Inspector General of Police, Tamil Nadu Police

Academy, Chennai challenged the participants to excel in their management by

imparting Biblical values and principals through his sessions on Excellence in

Management & Management of Excellence. Mr. J.S. Anbu (Executive Director -

CIM) took a session on Ego management. Many testified about the relevance of

both the topics and how it will help them to implement it practically to transform

their lives.
