CIM Management & Leadership Seminar

CIM conducted a Management and Leadership Seminar at Mumbai on 7 & 8 Dec.

2011. Resource persons: Raja B Singh (Charted Accountant) provided a threadbare

analysis and implications of the FCRA 2010 Act. S.D. Jeyakumar (CIM) dwelt at

length on the topic Children's Home management. This raised considerable interest as

several participants sought clarifications on issues surrounding Children Home. P.K.D

Lee (Haggai Institute) gave a comprehensive overview on the topic Indian Resource

Mobilisation. Nadirshaw K.Dhondy (Advocate) provided several case studies and

analysis of the Right to Information Act which was peppered with humour. Bennet

Emmanuel (CIM) took one session on Networking & Partnership.

Participants testified on how critical some of the topics were for their own ministrycontexts. For many the seminar was not just an eye-opener but a God-sentopportunity for learning and course correction.

Partnership Seminar

An exclusive training programme was organized for India Every Home Crusade at

Chennai 12th and 13th December. CIM team J.S. Anbu, S.D. Jeyakumar,

Bennet Emmanuel and Aby Alexander handled different subjects. 24 National Leaders

of IEHC participated in the programme.

M.A. in Christian Management, MCM and PGDCM Semester II - Coaching Classes

would be held from 17 20 April at Habitat for Humanity, CNI Bhawan, New Delhi.

This would be a combined coaching class, bringing students from all across the

country. This is aimed at bringing in more effectiveness, group interaction and

learning.

Semester I, III & V Examination from 27 February 2 March in 12 different

centers, across the country (Chennai, New Delhi, Shillong, Mumbai, Kolkata, Tiruvalla

(Kerala), Hubli (Karnataka), Vijayawada (Andhra Pradesh), Imphal & Churachandpur(Manipur), Dehradun (Uttarakhand), Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) and Damoh (Madhya

Pradesh).

Certificate programme to be conducted in New Life College, Bangalore in Feb 2012.

Certificate programmes have been fixed in Manipur, Dimapur and Tura, Siliguri in

March and May 2012 respectively.

The Dec-Jan issue will undergo a facelift in content, style and design. A key feature in

this issue is Christian leadership lessons from the life of the late Dr. John Stott. A

newly constituted Christian Manager Editorial Committee will meet mid January to

revision, strategise and plan out the six issues for 2012.

M a n a g em e n t D e v o t i o n a l

The recently published Management Devotional Vol. 1

generated great response as out of the print run of 2000

copies, the entire stock will be completely sold out by early

January. The books were placed with key leaders in Chennai,

Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bangalore. We envision that the

Devotional which is a first time initiative in India will impact

Christian professionals in their devotion to God and help

them grow in character and competency. Work will

commence for the Vol. - 2 July to December edition which isslated for release by 26 May, 2012. In addition to this, a

strategic plan will be outlined for the 2013 Management

Devotional.


SPECIAL EVENT

CI M Chr i s t m as Progr am

On 14 December, 2011 evening CIM invited Christian leaders of Chennai city for aChristmas get-together with Dr. R. Raj Kumar (Logos Ministries) as the special

speaker at St. Andrews Kirk Church, Chennai. Over 50 leaders attended the program

and were blessed with the Word of God.

IN-HOUSE

CIM staff took time off from their everyday work for a one-day retreat at the

Amazing Love premises. Away from the hustle and bustle of city life, the centre

which is tucked in the corner of Chennai was an abode of serenity. Apart from a

litany of games and fun time, the staff spent time in spiritual introspection and

ministerial commitment. It was a much needed break for spiritual and relationalrejunevation.
