The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport – CILT International - the premiere professional body

for those engaged in sectors related to transport and logistics.

Established in 1919 and receiving its Royal Charter in 1926, CILT has an exciting history behind it, but

but is always adapting to stay consistent with current logistics and transport issues. The Institute grew

in importance and influence across the world, establishing territorial organizations in ten countries and

branches (representation offices) in thirty three other countries.

CILT Egypt, the local branch of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport – CILT International

was established in 2004 with the aim to promote and encourage the art and science of logistics and

transport” through its membership and networking activities as well as its educational qualifications and

training schemes.

International Diploma in Logistics and Transport

ObjectivesThe CILT International Diploma in Logistics and

Transport is designed to provide transport, logistics

and supply chain senior and mid level managers with

a complete set of management and operational skills.

Who Should Attend This qualification is most suited for individuals who are

involved in the establishment of activity plans to support

logistics operations and/or supervising/managing and

controlling operational activities.

Course Content

To achieve the CILT International Diploma, all candidates

must study and pass a total of 4 courses including one

mandatory unit:

• PD01 Management in Logistics and Transport.

In addition candidates must study and pass two elective

unit examinations from a list of three units, namely:

• PD02 Supply Chain Management

• PD03 Transport Operations

• PD04 Transport Planning

Candidates will also study at least one optional unit (from

a list of 13 units)

Course Length : 5 – 8 months depending on intensity of course delivery

International Certificate in Logistics and Transport

ObjectivesThe CILT International Certificate in Logistics and Transport

provides first line managers with in-depth information and

skills related to logistics management and application.

Who Should Attend This qualification is most suited for individuals who are

involved in the establishment of activity plans to support

logistics operations and/or supervising/managing and

controlling operational activities.

Course Content To achieve the CILT International Certificate, all candidates

must study and pass the following mandatory units as well as

one optional unit from a wide array of modules.

• M1-L3 Business Theory – Mandatory Unit

• M2-L3 Business Application – Mandatory Unit

Course Length: 4 – 6 months
