    PRESIDENTS LETTER

At this time of year, things can be hard find----The perfect gift, a neededingredient, even the perfect restaurant.

Most of us fret over these to varying degrees even though, uponreflection, most fall into the category of insignificant. The significantthings are sometimes taken for granted.

For this season at the ICD, our focus is on the significant--our friends, tradition, family, health and peace. More accurately, our focus isproviding the opportunity for experiencing and sharing these whenever

we can.So dont fret, all of these significant things are in abundance at the ICD,no need to search.

I want to wish you a Christmas season loaded with the significant. Wehope that you can spend some of your time with us.

    Merry Christmas,

DANCE! DANCE! DANCE!That is the way the dance groups I Colori Italiani and I Piccoli Colorifelt by the middle of November. The fall is always busy for our dancers.

The childrens group, I Piccoli Colori danced at the annual PlanoInternational Festival on October 5. Their show is on face book if youwant to see how great they are.

Next, I Colori Italiani and I Piccoli Colori performed three shows at theState Fair of Texas on October 20. One show was on the Heritage Stage

and the other two were in front of the Hall of State. Again I PiccoliColori stole the show.

And last but not least we performed at the DFW International FiestaLatinoAmericana held in the Automobile Building on the Fair grounds. This was our final fall performance and a great way to end it, combinedwith the Latino influence in Texas.

We will now begin to plan for the coming year and anticipatedperformances. Consider joining us for a good time and for great friends. Our Dance group started in 1981 under the guidance of Nikki Manleyand Vincenza and Emilio Biondi. Their love of their Italian culturerubbed itself off on Maria and I and we have tried faithfully to carryon the tradition of authentic music and dance. We have had manymembers through the years. Some of the dancers from the past joinedus as children and danced until they left for college. Joe and Camille

Manginellis granddaughters were our first childrens dancers.Call for more information:Carrie Pollinzi Harris (972) 242-8283Maria Miletta Chobany (972) 235-4920
