From the Desk of Fr. John / Del Escritorio de Padre Juan 2We just had our parishreconciliation service. If you missed it and still needto go, St. Hubert will host areconciliation service onWednesday, December 20at 7:00pm.Christmas will soon be uponus. Once again, I ask you to make note of the change to ourMass schedule that weekend only:Saturday, Dec. 23 – Mass at 5:00pmNo 8:00am Mass this weekSunday, Dec. 24 – Mass at 10:00am (English)Sunday, Dec. 24 – Mass at 12:00pm (Español)Sunday, Dec. 24 – Christmas Mass at 2:30pm (Kids’ Mass in English)Sunday, Dec. 24 – Christmas Mass at 4:30pm (English)Monday, Dec. 25 – Christmas Mass at 10:00am (English)***Important note – you do not see the regularly scheduled8:00am on that weekend. CHS and many other parishes inour area are cutting back on Masses that weekend becauseof the great burden on our ministers. We still have 6Masses in 48 hours for your convenience. My sincereapologies to the 8:00am Mass crowd for this but we cut theleast attended Mass that weekend.

January 1, Mary, Mother of God is normally a holy day ofobligation. This year, since it falls on a Monday, the bish-ops of the United States have removed the obligation toattend Mass on Jan. 1. We, however, will have one Mass at10:00am in the church because Mass would be a good wayto start out the new year. I hope you can join us to beginthe new year asking for God’s guidance.

Presentation Song: You Have Anointed MeTo bring glad tidings to the lowly, to heal the broken heart, You have anointed me.To proclaim liberty to captives, release to prisoners, You have anointed me.Your Spirit, O God, is upon me, You have anointed me.To announce a year of favor, to comfort those who mourn,You have anointed me.To give to them the oil of gladness, and share a mantle of joy,You have anointed me.Text & Tune: Mike Balhoff, b. 1946, Gary Daigle, b. 1957, DarrylDucote, b. 1945; acc. by Gary Daigle, © 1981, Damean Music,Distributed by GIA Publications, Inc.Creed on page 10

Communion Song: Christ Be Our LightLonging for light, we wait in darkness. Longing for truth, we turn to you.Make us your own, your holy people, light for the world to see.Christ, be our light! Shine in our hearts. Shine through the darkness.Christ, be our light! Shine in your church gathered today.Longing for peace, our world is troubled. Longing for hope, many despair.Your word alone has pow’r to save us. Make us your living voice.Longing for food, many are hungry. Longing for water, many still thirst.Make us your bread, broken for others, shared until all are fed.Longing for shelter, many are homeless. Longing for warmth, many are cold.Make us your building, sheltering others, walls made of living stones. Many the gifts, many the people, many the hearts that yearn to belong.Let us be servants to one another, making your kingdom come.© 1994, Bernadette Farrell. Closing Song: Creator of the Stars of NightCreator of the stars of night, who shaped the sky’s eternal lights,O Christ, redeemer of us all, bend near, and hear us when we call.O love that wore our human form, O tiny child of lowly birth,Let now your love be born in us ‘til peace and justice fill the earth.Give us a love that never dies, a vision of the world to come:When all oppression fin’lly ends, and all the homeless find a home.Text adapt from CONDITOR ALME SIDERUM by Marty Haugen, © 1987GIA Publications, Inc.

Ven a redimirnos. Ven, Señor, no tardes. Letra y música copyright 1994, Antonio Alcalde, Bernardo Velado y SanPablo Comunicación, SSP, Derechos reservados. Confessions/ConfesionesSaturday/Sabados4:00 - 4:30 p.m.

I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord.who was conceived by the Holy Spiritborn of the Virgin Mary.suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell;on the third day he rose again from the dead,He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand ofGod the Father almighty;from there he will come to judge theliving and the dead.I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.
