PARISH STEWARDSHIP April 29, 2018
Thank you for your generosity to your Parish!
LOTTERY CALENDAR – RECENT OUTCOMES Tues., April 24 #360 Chris S. ($50) Wed., April 25 #167 Marie Y. ($50) Thurs., April 26 #151 No Winner Fri., April 27 #422 No Winner Sat., April 28 #781 Tim H. ($100) Sun., April 29 #347 Larry K. ($150) Mon., April 30 #169 Helen F. ($50)
Our monthly lottery calendars are a great fundraiser for our Parish! Please consider being a seller, or buying one in the future by getting one at one of the masses or stopping by the Parish Office! They make great gifts that you can tuck in a Birthday or Get Well card, and they make great extra Mother’s Day Surprises! We appreciate the support of everyone who helps to make this so successful!
We are grateful to our parishioners who have already made a pledge to the Bishop’s Annual Appeal. Making a six month pledge to the Appeal allows you to maximize the amount that you may give by making monthly payments. For example, a $300 gift to the Appeal may be set up with six $50 installments. Your sacrifice and generosity to those who are less fortunate will allow the ministries of our Diocese to offer services to those who need assistance. You can make your gift online at FaithHopeCharityGives.org. As of today, our parishioners have raised $14,845 from 66 parishioners, representing 3.94% of our total number of registered families in our Parish.

St. Patrick Parish Appreciates!! “Vocations are born in prayer and prayer, and only in prayer can they persevere and bear fruit” (Pope Francis) Months of planning were definitely worth it! Our “God Calls” program was very successful, and many people left with a sense of knowing that we may have been surrounded that day by future priests and sisters because seeds were planted. Who would not love to see a Fr. Zach or a Sr. Brigid come out of our program because they were evangelized by some very down to earth, and very special and holy people on April 29th? A special thank you is given to the priests and sisters who joined us: Msgr. James, Msgr. O’Connor, Fr. Karpyn, Fr. Lonergan, and Fr. Searles; Sister Catherine Terese, Sister Margaret, Sister Marietta, Sister Mary, Sister Mary Jane, Sister Rose, Sister Sarah, and Sister Theresa. Thank you to Lowe’s Home Improvement for providing the sticks for the boys’ processional crosses. Thank you to Deacon Larry and Sharon Lonergan for being such inspirations to the adults and for their genuine love and interest in vocations. A special thanks to Sharon for being at all of our committee meetings and for planning out the crafts for the children. She made them so easy that all of the boys took home a homemade Mass kit, and all of the girls took home a homemade Church doll house with sister dolls. Lastly, a special thank you to everyone who made this event possible: Mary Jane Bolich; Leah and Maxwell Clews; Pat Day; Alexa Doncsecz and the Diocesan Youth, Young Adult, and Family Ministry Office; Bob Engle; The Joyces: Amy, Brigid, Katherine, Richie; Donna Lonergan; Zach Mills; Natalie Morrison; Kim Norris; Annette Peron; Charlie Taronis; The Trays: Dakota, Dillon, Dustin, Josh, Mark, Maureen, Tessa, Tiffany, Tyler; Dale Verchick; and Helen Weiss. May the examples that they set for our young people help them to understand the words of Jesus “Here I am among you as one who serves” (Luke 22:27). Let us continue to pray for our priests and sisters, and to do what Bishop Schlert asks by promoting a “Culture of Vocations”. Remember, God Calls All of Us!
Thank you to our May Business Sponsor for Volunteers, Rita’s Ice & Custard! We appreciate their great prize! Congratulations to Ev McGuire, who was the April Volunteer of the Month! Volunteers…Adults, Teens, and Children…look for the RED box in the back of Church, & put your name in it!
Businesses, Individuals, or Community Events Organizers – If you would like to be a Business Sponsor or would like to highlight an upcoming event, please contact the Parish Office for more information. All you would have to do is provide a gift for our Volunteer of the Month of at least $25 (gift card, cash, or prize), and then your business/event would be highlighted in our bulletin for the whole month!

DONORS NEEDED! Monsignor would like to get an ambry to put in the front of Church by the Baptismal font. He would also like to get a Chrismal Set that will be stored in the ambry. An ambry is used to store the oils used in sacraments: The Oil of Catechumens, the Oil of the Sick, and Sacred Chrism. This will be a beautiful piece that will be visible to everyone. In order to keep the cost affordable, we need ten people to contribute to this. So far, we have nine. If anyone is interested in donating towards the Ambry and Chrismal Set in memory or in honor of a loved one, please contact the Parish Office for more information.
Attention Everyone! The Rules and Regulations for our Cemeteries are now available for you to print off of our Website, or you can pick up a copy from the Parish Office.
