Three to Get Married – Marriage Preparation Course As you plan your wedding, take the time to plan your marriage!

The Legionaries of Christ and Regnum Christi offer their marriage preparation course, “Three to Get Married,” (you, your fiancé and God) to all en-gaged couples in the New York City tri-state ar-ea. This course is held at Resurrection Church in Rye, NY. It satisfies the Pre-Cana requirements for those in the Archdiocese of New York and for others by pastoral permission. It extends one full weekend, to provide each couple with a reflective and in-depth preparation for a joyful marriage, and for love that not only endures, but actually grows stronger year after year.

Upcoming weekends are Jan 15-17, Mar 4-6, Jun 24-26 in Rye, NY and Apr 22-24, Oct 14-16

at St Patrick's Old Cathedral in Soho, NY. This is a Day Program. Overnight accommodations are not included. For more information call 914-244-3685 or visit www.regnumchristiny.org

Other pre-Cana options are also available. Contact St. Mary’s Rectory for more information.

SETON ADULT FAITH FORMATION SERIES PERSPECTIVES ON FAMILY LIFE

IN THE YEAR OF MERCY

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 1377 E. Main Street, Shrub Oak, will host a presentation followed by guided discussions: Healing in the Midst of Controversy with Michaelene Fredenburg.

We live in a controversy fueled culture, and the topic of abortion is often at the forefront of debate. The question is how we lovingly invite hurting wom-en and men who have been impacted by an abor-tion into a safe place of healing, without triggering a harmful response. This presentation will explore a path for navigating around the political rhetoric to create a safe place for hurting men and women to begin the healing process.

Iona Prep Open House

The world was a playground for Mickey, a naive Irish American kid bored with his life. His father served in World War II, his brother was a Marine in Vietnam; now it was his turn. His 365 days in Vietnam builds in torment until an attack on a bunker complex in Cambodia. Wounded, his friend captured, he becomes a tormented survivor knowing he is always just a heartbeat from death.

In this memoir, set as deeply in his mind as in the Southeast Asian jungle, a young American soldier embarks

on a journey to a war that, for him, will never be over.
