NEWS AND EVENTS
My dear friends:
In my short time here at Saint Elizabeth’s, I have come to know so many of you and have come to know the faith-
filled community that makes up our beautiful parish.
During these past two weeks, I was blessed to bring our 6th, 7th and 8th graders to adoration during their religion
classes. I explained to the students (as I explained in my homily last weekend), that we all have things that tor-
ment us – fears, anxieties, worries, notions of the way our lives should be. The way we combat all these things is
by staying close to God. God gave us the greatest gift in His only begotten Son, and Jesus is present to us always
in the Sacrament of His Most Precious Body and Blood. In our times of difficulty and struggle, we need to stay
with Him, focus on Him, give Him authority over all that torments us. We must persevere and remain steadfast in
our faith.
As many of you know, I am directing a pilgrimage to the Holy Land from April 26th to May 5th. For all of us to
stay united in prayer while I am there, prayer cards will be available for you to write all your intentions. I will
place them on the altars of each of the holy places we visit when I celebrate mass, and I will remember all of you
and your intentions.
May God continue to bless you and draw you closer to Him and to His Son. You are all a blessing to me and my
priesthood.
With love and great admiration,
Father Vincent
