Church Ambassador Program
We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors as though God were making his appeal through us.
2 Cor. 5:20
Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in
the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.
1 Corinthians 15:58 ESV
You Are Invited
to Join the Church Ambassador Program
In Christ, we are called to be ambassadors for God’s Kingdom.
As followers of Christ, we are asked to care for the needs of the poor.
Therefore, we invite our community churches and fellow servants
to prayerfully consider partnering with
Buffalo City Mission on behalf of the poor; to be voices of hope
in our church community
for Gods glory as we serve to meet the needs of the poor and homeless!
Who are the Church Ambassadors? Church Ambassadors are individuals who represent their church, gather in unity as the body of Christ in partnership with the Buffalo City Mission
to support through prayer and needed donations to meet the spiritual and practical needs of the poor and homeless.

Our Purpose
To increase community awareness of issues related to homelessness and poverty and the ways the Buffalo City Mission addresses the issues through our programs and services.
Our Philosophy Christ calls us to be ambassadors for His kingdom. As His followers, we can reflect the
message of His love and salvation as we care for the needs of the poor. Buffalo City Mission’s Church Ambassadors are the voice of hope on behalf of the poor to the community of Western New York.
What’s it All About
Ambassadors attend 4 breakfast meetings which are held at and hosted by the Buffalo City Mission. These free gatherings provide a time of fellowship and unity as brothers and sisters in Christ, prayer, and together with the Lord’s direction we labor to meet future needs of the homeless.
The mission will provide tools such as quarterly church newsletter titled “The Open Heart”, fliers for upcoming events and other materials that help the ambassador relay information about ways that their church can become actively involved in serving the needs of the poor.
Buffalo City Mission’s volunteer Church Ambassadors update their churches about homelessness and poverty and the opportunities provided through our men’s ministries, women and children ministries and community outreaches.
