Position: Office Administrator
SUMMARY STATEMENT:The Office Administrator is primarily responsible for the administration of the church office, clerical, communication and financial secretary support services to staff, membership and ministries of the church.
WORK SCHEDULE:Position is effective January 2, 2014. Sixteen hours per week, Monday – Thursday, 9am – 1pm.Administrator should be willing to be flexible on occasion with work time.
SALARY: $14,000.00/annually
JOB FUNCTIONS:Communications
Provide for all church publications through actual production or coordination through volunteers. Publications include but not limited to weekly bulletins, monthly newsletter, flyers, mass mailings
Provide initial response and referral in congregational care (example: alert pastor, prayer groups)
Maintain confidentiality of church matters(example: counseling appointments, giving information, staff situations)
Send out correspondence for the pastor and other church leaders Maintain church electronic communications
Volunteer Coordination Recruit/Schedule volunteers as needed, (example: mailings, bulletins, phones, etc)
Information Management Maintain church calendars: church functions, building use, flower calendar Provide church directories for church office and church leaders Participate in staff meetings, training and fellowship as scheduled Maintain the church filing system Maintain church website Maintain church membership database
General Office Management Maintain the incoming and outgoing mail for the church Provide for maintenance and management of office equipment Maintain petty cash

Financial Management Post all contributions to church database Create weekly and monthly financial reports for bookkeeping Print and mail quarterly and year end giving statements Provide financial information for bulletin and newsletter
JOB EXPECTATIONS:This person shall:
Not be a member of this church Have positive relational skills, especially with volunteer office staff Be familiar with Microsoft Office – Word, Publisher, Outlook Express, and Excel. Training
will provided on use of church database and website programs
LINE OF ACCOUNTABILITY: The Office Administrator is accountable to the pastor. In the pastor’s absence, this person
is responsible to the person designated by the pastor.
VACATION, HOLIDAYS, SICK DAYS, AND PERSONAL DAYS: Two weeks paid Time Off (This includes vacation, personal and sick days). Paid Time Off for all major holidays.
