chula vista band review & community festival
DESCRIPTION
As the largest free event of its kind in San Diego County and top five largest in Southern California, the annual event draws thousands of scholastic music participants from throughout San Diego and as far as Burbank, Diamond Bar, Lancaster, Rowland Heights, Placentia, El Monte, Downey, Pico Rivera, Pomona, Palm Desert, Imperial Valley, Lake Elsinore, La Habra, and Yorba Linda -- all to Chula Vista. Many of these out-of-area groups stay in local hotels to participate in the event, dine at local restaurants, and shop at local businesses. Through past creative partnership with the Otay Ranch Town Center, the Chula Vista Chamber of Commerce, and the South Bay Family YMCA, the event has connected both community and local businesses in a synergetic atmosphere not achieved before. Military veterans, community service organizations, scholastic athletic teams, school clubs, cheerleaders, classic cars, team mascots, dance teams, ROTCs, local businesses, and community leaders participate in thTRANSCRIPT
