CHRISTMAS IN CATALONIA

We decorate our houses and trees

with lights and Christmas decorations.

In Catalonia we have the “tió”. It’s

a magic log that brings presents to

the children.

To get the presents,the children

hit the tió while singing a song.

On Christsmas day we have a special lunch with our family.

In the evening of the 5th of January, The Three

Kings arrive. There are big parades and the children

wait for the kings with beautiful lanterns.

The children go to bed early and put out something to eat and drink for Melcior, Gaspar

and Baltasar. It's a very special night!
