a mix of traditions.

Presepios and Los Pastores
One tradition is to create a nativity scene or a Presepio.
Many also enjoy a folk play called Los Pastores or “The Shepherds,” with shepherdesses and a gypsy who attempts to kidnap the Christ child.

Christmas DinnerBrazilians have a huge Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve, late at night. They have turkey, ham, colored rice, vegetables and fruit dishes.
The traditional Brazilian Christmas desert is Rabanada, which is French toast.

Missa do GaloMany Catholics in Brazil attend Missa do Galo, or Midnight Mass. It has this name because “Galo” means “rooster” and the rooster announces the coming of Christmas Day!
