Praise the Lord, I am sure
we all want to be intimate withGod, but it takes sacrice.
Many want to be intimate butthey are not ready to make thesacrices it takes.
Sometimes I hear peoplesaying, I want to be so close to
God that even the devil cannot get between us.That is how close or intimate we should be with
God. I want to be so close to God that the devilcannot even dare come close to me, not to talk of getting between us. Whatever it takes, I am ready
to do that. It takes determination. So to be intimate with God, you need to spend
time alone with God. You need to spend time onthe WORD of GOD, in prayer and fasting.
David really loved the Lord with all His mightand soul; you can see that from his Psalms. Let’s
look at one of the Psalms he wrote – Psalm 42:1-2.“As a dear panteth after the water brooks, so pantethmy soul after Thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the liing God, when shall I come and appear before God.”
We should be so thirsty and hungry for God if
want Him to take us to a higher level. The best thing that can happen to anybody in t
world is to know Jesus. We often talk about those we love, so talk about Jesus. Be a Jesus loer!!!!!
There are benefts to being intimate with Go• Safety – There is safety in the presence of Go
The demons will ee in the presence of God, demons cannot touch you. Psalm 91:1, “He thdwelleth in the secret place of the most high shaabide under the shadow of the Almighty.”
• Deliverance from demonic inuence.
• Fullness of joy – Unspeakable joy and peace
of mind.
• Healing – In His presence healing occurs.
Disease cannot come and if it does it cannot
stay. So God is calling all His children into a deeper relationship with Him. Amen!!!!!!

A Prayer Unto The LordBy Patricia Wilkins
I pray Lord Jesus Christ When the storms are raging in my life
That I would hear your voice saying peace be still
Dear Lord help me to do thy will,
Help me to hold to your unchanging Hand
I know it is all in God’s plan.
I love you Lord from the depth of my soul
I thank you just because you made me whole.
Jesus I thank you for being a Friend.
I fell down on my knees
And cried Lord help please,The esh is weak but the spirit is willing.
I pray dear Lord that my soul will not be lost!!
Thank you Lord for hearing my prayer!!

Dead Sea ChristiansBy Philip Ademola Togun
“To this you were called, becauseChrist suffered for you, leaing anexample, that you should follow in Hissteps (I Peter 2:21), [and] whoeer claims to lie in Him must walk as Jesusdid (I John 2:6).”
The river Jordan terminates in theDead Sea, the lowest point on the
earth. While the Dead Sea ‘receives’ constantly from theriver Jordan, it never ‘gives’ out; there is no out-ow. It is sosalty that there is no life in it. It is truly dead.
There are Christians who are spiritual equivalents of the Dead Sea. They are faithful to their church, and they
love the Lord. They read their Bibles, and attend Christianconferences and seminars, buy Christian books, subscribe
to Christian magazines and are generally busy doing
‘spiritual things’.But they do not share their spiritual resources. They
constantly receive – sermons, seminars, etc. – but do nottouch other lives for Christ. Witnessing to unbelievers is out
of the question; it’s enough to “let them see Christ in you.”The neighbors, co-workers and others see an outwardly
religious person with high ethical standards, but the basisof such a life – an encounter with Jesus Christ – is never
communicated. It is this type of Christian who, full of mere head
knowledge, becomes critical of other Christians over minor
theological differences (“Why does he not fast during
Lent?”) and develops a bunker mentality in dealing withthe world, becoming increasingly defensive and bitter, bemoaning the spiritual decay all around, instead of
becoming part of the solution to societal problems bylovingly proclaiming Christ-centered solutions.
Holiness becomes equated with “dos” and “don’ts”instead of being seen as a by-product of God’s grace in
Christ through which God no longer counts our sins againstus, so that when He looks at the Christian, all he sees isChrist in that individual, reected in the brilliant light of
the Holy Spirit. So, what does a Dead Sea Christian do? Begin to share
his or her considerable spiritual resources with Christiansand non-Christians. There are Christians who need
teaching, counseling and encouragement. Investing in the
lives of non-Christians by helping them in times of needopens avenues for Sharing the Christian faith. Materialresources too will often need to be shared with the needy,Christians and non-Christians.
C.S. Lewis advocated “muscular Christianity”. That isthe kind our world needs and “Christ’s loe compels us’ (IICorinthians 5:14) to meaningfully engage our world. Wedare not fail!
