Know Your ElderBruce Blake: I am a poor and miserable sinner. Born in Reading, PA, on June 7, 1955, I was baptized shortly thereafter in Trinity Lutheran, and confirmed in 1968 at St John’s Lutheran in Martinsburg, WV. I graduated from Tivy High (Kerrville, TX) in 1973, married Cindy Brown in 1975 at St. Thomas Episcopal (Houston), and graduated from Texas A&M in 1977, with a B.S. in geophysics. We have three daughters and three sons-in-law (Stephanie & Steve Cholak, Elizabeth & Shaun Downie, and Amanda & Paul Crabtree) and nine grandchildren. Having lived and worked in many places, we’ve been privileged to worship regularly with Lutherans in College Station, Houston, Dallas, Plano, Jakarta, Midlothian, Calgary, The Woodlands, and Madrid as well as visit Lutheran churches in Germany, Denmark and New Zealand. We are now excited to be back in our home town of Houston
and proud to be members at Our Savior which we joined in 2011. I am the Elder for those members living in 77040.
My name is Glenn Frazier, I serve as the new Elder for 77018, M - R. I have been married for ten years to Michelle, and we have two daughters Abigail, who is four and Isabelle, two. I grew up in Katy, TX, as the youngest child in the family and the only boy. I was raised in the Episcopal church, but left due to the disfunction currently plaguing the church, and became Lutheran five years ago. I feel so blessed to be here at OSL. I also recently started my own fastener supply business last year, and we live in the Champions area. I enjoy history books, old trucks and time with my family.
