A Prayer for World Day of the Sick

Mary, our Mother,

In Christ you welcome each of us as a son or daughter.

Sustain the trusting expectation of our hearts,

Succour us in our infirmities and sufferings,

And guide us to Christ, your Son and our brother.

Help us to entrust ourselves to the Father who

accomplishes great things. Amen.

On the occasion of the 26th World Day of the Sick

Instituted by Saint John Paul II the Great

On The Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes on February 11th, 2018

Changes in the Health Region

As a result of changes in the Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region, our hospital chaplains no longer receive notifications when a Catholic is admitted to a hospital. Please notify your parish office before going to the hospital, or when scheduling surgery and other hospital admissions – or if you know of a fellow parishioner who is in the hospital and would like a visit – you can contact the Catholic chaplains at the following:

- Regina General Hospital: 306-519-1405 - Pasqua Hospital: 306-519-1380 - Wascana Rehabilitation Centre: 306-530-6511

Catholic chaplains visit patients and their families to address any spiritual needs, to pray, to provide a friendly face and comforting presence, to talk about people's fears and concerns, to bring Communion, and to contact a priest for anointing of the sick. In case of emergency, patients and families can also call the hospital switchboard to request the Catholic chaplain.

Hear Ye! Hear Ye! Serena Saskatchewan, a natural family planning service, invites you to a Medieval Feast fundraiser on Saturday, February 10th in Saskatoon. For more info and to reserve FREE tickets, visit https://www.picatic.com (search: Serena) or email [email protected] by February 4th. If you are unable to attend, please consider making a donation.

MARIAN DEVOTION

We are pleased to announce the beginning of a new Marian devotion of Prayer at Holy Rosary Cathedral. On February 14 at 2:00 pm, this Cenacle of Prayer to the Immaculate Heart of Mary will gather in the Church. (Please enter by the East door closest to the Sacristy.) The purpose of this weekly, one hour devotion on Wednesday afternoons, is to receive the outpouring of the Holy Spirit through our prayers and consecration to the Immaculate Heart.

Our Lady has requested that these Cenacles be formed in our Churches and our homes; that we might receive her protection, her healing and graces for our own spiritual conversion, for the conversion of our families, and the protection of our Church and Diocese. Please join us to experience this powerful devotion and receive the spiritual gifts our Lady has promised us. For more information contact Loretta @ 306-559-0673.

This Marian Devotion is starting with the approval of Archbishop Donald Bolen and Fr. Dan Raphael.

Divine Mercy Devotion

If you would like to host the Divine Mercy Image and commit to praying the Chaplet of Divine Mercy in your home, please contact Linda Lucyk, Pastoral Care Coordinator. 306-539-6889 [email protected]

Attention All Ministries If use of the Parish kitchen is part of your ministry, please note that soon new regulations will require a certified Food Preparation member to be present during events involving the kitchen. To facilitate this we will be offering the certification class free of charge led by Public Health in our Parish Centre on Saturday, February 17th from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Lunch will be served.
