Greetings to you all in the Lord, Baby Jesus! I have always prayed you having a delightful

and spirit-filled Christmas. This weekend, we celebrate the "Feast of the Epiphany of the Lord." We honor and remember the Magi or three Wise Men who came looking for Baby Jesus, King of Peace and Savior.

Through their examples, we need to imitate them to continue the journey in faith, hope, love, and truth.

The Gospel of Matthew, in this Sunday, talk-ing about Magi who searched diligently for the child, Baby Jesus and then, after they saw the child with Mary his mother, they have been warned in a dream, not to return to Herod, but they went back their own country by another road. This means that Magi did not follow the way of Herod's sin, but, they followed the way of God's truth.

We today are also invited to imitate Magi in order to seek Baby Jesus and after seeking Him, we need to follow the way of God’s truth by living in truth: think well, speak well, and do well. In doing so, we can live in peace, love, joy, and happiness, and eventually, gain eternal life.

So, let us also help others to seek Christ and his truth, and we need to follow his will daily, not our own will.

God himself is a model for us to follow be-cause He is the way, truth and the life.

Let us continue to search for Jesus Christ until we see Him face to face in the God's Kingdom in heaven.

Once again, I would like to take an oppor-tunity to say thank to you all who volunteered to prepare gifts for the poor who are our brothers and sisters, and helped in liturgical celebrations both Christmas and New Year.

MESSAGE FROM THE PASTOR

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ the King, This note is to inform you that Mrs. Lucy Riley has resigned her employment positions with the parish on 27 December, 2017. She has served in the dual roles of pa-rish secretary and religious education coordinator. On your behalf, and on behalf of my predecessor pastors, I would like to offer my sincere thanks to Lucy who dedicated her time and talents, helping to build up our community of Christ the King Parish for so many years. We appreciate her contributions in these two vital areas of parish life. We wish her well in her future endeavours. Thank you, Lucy, and may God bless you always. Yours sincerely, Fr. Dominique Trinh Do

ALTAR SERVER TRAINING On behalf of our parish, I would like to thank Dai-sy Hopkins, a chair of Altar Servers. You have said “Yes” to God ito serve God and his people in our parish. Besides, how wonderful for us to see our children around in the Church and especially, serving Christmas and New Masses as altar servers. Your contribution make the holy liturgical celebration more powerful and more meaning-ful! Thanks a lot of our beloved children that you have dedicated your time and talents to contribute in our Par-ish. I very much encourage children from Grade 3 or older to volunteer to serve Mass.
