O Lord, make us have perpetual love and reverence for your holy Name,
for you never fail to help and govern those Whom you have set upon the sure foundation of your loving kindness; through Jesus Christ
our Lord, who lives and reigns with youand the Holy Spirit, one God,
for ever and ever.

The Lessons
Romans 5:15b-19
For if the many died through the one man’s trespass, much more surely have the grace of God and the free gift in the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abounded for the many. And the free gift is
not like the effect of the one man’s sin. For the judgment following one trespass brought
condemnation, but the free gift following many trespasses brings justification.
If, because of the one man’s trespass, death exercised dominion through that one, much more
surely will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness exercise
dominion in life through the one man, Jesus Christ. Therefore just as one man’s trespass led to
condemnation for all, so one man’s act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all.
For just as by the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man’s obedience the many will be made righteous.
The Word of the Lord.
Thanks be to God.
Psalm 69:7-10, 16-18
7 Let not those who hope in you be put to shame through me, Lord GOD of hosts; * let not those who seek you be disgraced because of me, O God of Israel.
8 Surely, for your sake have I suffered reproach, * and shame has covered my face.
9 I have become a stranger to my own kindred, * an alien to my mother’s children.
10 Zeal for your house has eaten me up; * the scorn of those who scorn you has fallen upon me.
16 Save me from the mire; do not let me sink; * let me be rescued from those who hate me and out of the deep waters.
17 Let not the torrent of waters wash over me,neither let the deep swallow me up; * do not let the Pit shut its mouth upon me.
18 Answer me, O LORD, for your love is kind; * in your great compassion, turn to me.’
The Holy Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, according to Matthew.
Glory to you, Lord Christ.
Matthew 10:24-33
Jesus said, “A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master; it is enough for the
disciple to be like his teacher, and the servant like his master. If they have called the master of the
house Be-el'zebul, how much more will they malign those of his household.
"So have no fear of them; for nothing is covered that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be
known. What I tell you in the dark, utter in the light; and what you hear whispered, proclaim upon the housetops. And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather fear him who
can destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a penny?
And not one of them will fall to the ground without your Father's will. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. So every one who acknowledges me before men, I
also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven; but whoever denies me before men, I also
will deny before my Father who is in heaven.”
The Gospel of the Lord.
Praise to you, Lord Christ.
Today’s SermonThe Rev. Dr. Matt Boulter
The Creed
We believe in one God,the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,of all that is, seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,begotten, not made,
of one Being with the Father.
Through him all things were made.For us and for our salvationhe came down from heaven:
by the power of the Holy Spirithe became incarnate from
the Virgin Mary,and was made man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;he suffered death and was buried.
On the third day he rose againin accordance with the Scriptures;
he ascended into heavenand is seated at the right
hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory tojudge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the
Son. With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified.
He has spoken through the Prophets.
We believe in one holy, catholic,and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptismfor the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,and the life of the world to come. Amen.
The Prayers of the People
(Form III)

That we all may be one.
Grant that every member of the Church may truly and humbly serve you;
That your Name may be glorified by all people.
We pray for all bishops, priests, and deacons;
That they may be faithful ministers of your Word and Sacraments.
We pray for all who govern and hold authorityin the nations of the world;
That there may be justice and peace on the earth.
Give us grace to do your will in all that we undertake;
That our works may find favor in your sight.
We pray for Lisa, Cynthia, Christi, Roland, Lynne, Drew,
Shelly, Lauren & Terri;have compassion on those
who suffer from any grief or trouble;
That they may be delivered from their distress.
Give to Royal Hunter Kay, cousin of Allison Jarvis,
and to all the departed eternal rest;
Let light perpetual shine upon them.
We praise you for your saints who have entered into joy;
May we also come to share in your heavenly kingdom.
Let us pray for our own needs and for the needs of others.
Silence
At this time the congregation is invited to lift their petitions and thanksgiving to God.
Concluding Prayer.
Confession of Sin:
Let us confess our sins against God and our neighbor:
Most merciful God, we confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done,
and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. We are truly sorry and we humbly repent. For the sake of
your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on us and forgive us; that we may delight in your will, and walk in your ways,
to the glory of your Name.
Amen.
Almighty God have mercy on you, forgive you all your sins
through our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen you in all goodness,
and by the power of the Holy Spirit, keep you in eternal life.
Amen.

Doxology
Praise God from whom all blessings flow;Praise him, all creatures here below;Praise him above, ye heavenly host;Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
Amen.
The Lord be with you.And also with you.
Lift up your hearts.We lift them up to the Lord.
Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.It is right to give him thanks and praise.
It is right, and a good and joyful thing, always and everywhere to give thanks to you,
Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth.
Here a proper preface is sung or said.
Therefore we praise you, joining our voices with Angels and Archangels and with all the company
of heaven, who for ever sing this hymn to proclaim the glory of your Name:
Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might,
heaven and earth are full of your glory.Hosanna in the highest.
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.Hosanna in the highest.
Sanctus, lyrics: traditional, music: Justin Brooks, 2012, Church of the Incarnation, 20214482
Holy and gracious Father; In your infinite love you made us for yourself; and, when we had fallen into sin and become subject to evil and death, you, in
your mercy, sent Jesus Christ, your only and eternal Son, to share our human nature, to live and die as
one of us, to reconcile us to you, the God and Father of all.
He stretched out his arms upon the cross, and offered himself in obedience to your will,
a perfect sacrifice for the whole world.
On the night he was handed over to suffering and death, our Lord Jesus Christ took bread;
and when he had given thanks to you, he broke it, and gave it to his disciples, and said, “Take, eat:
This is my Body, which is given for you. Do this for the remembrance of me.”
After supper he took the cup of wine; and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, and said, “Drink this, all of you: This is my Blood
of the new Covenant, which is shed for youand for many for the forgiveness of sins.
Whenever you drink it, do this for the remembrance of me.”
Therefore, we proclaim the mystery of faith:
Christ has died.Christ is risen.
Christ will come again.
We celebrate the memorial of our redemption, O Father, in this sacrifice of praise and
thanksgiving. Recalling his death, resurrection, and ascension, we offer you these gifts.
Sanctify them by your Holy Spirit to be for your people the Body and Blood of your Son, the holy food and drink of new and unending life
in him. Sanctify us also that we may faithfully receive this holy Sacrament, and serve you in unity, constancy, and peace; and at the last day bring us
with all your saints into the joy of your eternal kingdom.
All this we ask through your Son Jesus Christ.By him, and with him, and in him, in the unity of the Holy Spirit all honor and glory is yours,
Almighty Father, now and for ever.
Amen
And now, as our Savior Christ has taught us, we are bold to say,
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.For thine is the kingdom, and the power,
and the glory, forever and ever.
Amen.

Communion Song
“At the Lamb’s High Feast we Sing”
At the Lamb's high feast we singPraise to our victorious King,
Who hath washed us in the tideFlowing from his pierced side;
Praise we him whose love divineGives his sacred blood for wine,
Gives his body for the feast,Christ the Victim, Christ the Priest.
Where the paschal blood is poured,Death's dark angel sheathes his sword;
Israel's hosts triumphant goThrough the wave that drowns the foe.
Praise we Christ, whose blood was shed,Paschal Victim, Paschal Bread;
With sincerity and loveEat we manna from above
Mighty Victim from the sky,Pow'rs of hell beneath thee lie;Death is conquered in the fight,
Thou hast brought us life and light:Hymns of glory and of praise,Risen Lord, to thee we raise;Holy Father, praise to thee,
With the Spirit, ever be

Congregation, please stand.
Almighty and everliving God, we thank you for feeding us with the spiritual food of the most precious Body and Blood of your Son our Savior Jesus Christ; and for assuring us in these holy mysteries that we are living members of the Body of your son, and heirs of your eternal kingdom. And now, Father, send us out to do the work you have given us to do,
to love and serve you as faithful witnesses of Christ our Lord. To him, to you, and to the Holy Spirit, be honor and
glory, now and forever.
Amen.

They will not…not be moved
