What You Can Look Forward To You will receive training and education for cardiac and pulmonary care and you will be able to be sure that your patients have an open airway. An open airway will ensure that your patients will be able to make it through a trauma. As a respiratory therapist, you will also find that it is often you responsibility to begin the life support process for your patients that are in need. Educating patients is very important as a respiratory therapist and you should always be educated. Staying educated on the subject of respiratory care will ensure that you can advise your patients with asthma. You will be able to measure the ability of their lungs to do their jobs and help patients understand how to function properly.
