• This teacher led activity aims to help children choose the appropriate adverb to match the verb tense.

• The child’s task is to decide which of the given adverbs fits into the sentence.

• The next slide is an answer sheet. This should be printed, and distributed to the children before you start.

• When a pencil appears on the first two slides, this marks the time for the children to complete their answers. Proceed in the same pattern for the remainder of the game.

• A prompt of ‘Why?’ appears after each sentence. This is the cue for discussion about the correct and incorrect answers. They then receive feedback on the screen.
