Welcome to the new world of creative

model building using our new flexible

tooling by Chooch. You will find our

products incredibly easy to use and

fun to make things that used to take

hours to scratch build. Over time,

Chooch will be releasing many new

products to make your hobby more

creative.

This vinyl material is easy to cut

with scissors or with #11 modeler’s

blade. You can also create corners

by scoring the front and bending

the casting from the back allowing

the vinyl to stay attached.

Your wall comes with a permanent

“peel and stick” backing material.

Peel the backing paper after you

have cut the shape you need. It

is very important that you do NOT

touch the adhesive with your fin-

gers, because the oils from our

skin inhibits the adhesive bond.

Depending on your humidity and

climate, if you feel the bond will

not permanently stay, we recom-

mend you apply ordinary contact

cement to the top or bottom of

the casting. You can mount the

piece on hardboard, pink foam or

dry wood, making sure the surface

it dry and clean.

OK to print the width of each piece at 4.10 inches if you need to fit it on page.

Please send Proof prior to printing.

Your wall comes with a base coat.

You can change the color or use

it as it comes. Depending on the

climate you are modeling, you can

change the color by “washing” the

casting with acrylic paints. We

like the Americana Brand you find

in craft stores. It’s a matter of

“playing” with colors to get what

you like. Only use water base

acrylic paints.

Recipe for washing color:

Soapy water: 3 drops dish soap

to 1 quart of water.

Dilute paint 1 part to 4 parts

soapy water.

You can apply a dark color over

the whole design, let dry, and

then apply a light color over the

whole design. OR reverse this

order of color. Either way, you

get a different effect.

Acrylic paints usually dry darker

so you may want to go easy at

first.

You can always wash off the

color before it dries.

Above all, have fun and don’t be

afraid to experiment with color.

Hot Glue steel shapes

Hot Glue the edges

Trim with Scissors

Measure the inside of the car and cut a styrene

insert to fit inside the car. Leave a little room to

allow the load to be magnetically removed.

Find some washers or nuts and Hot Glue the steel parts

to make a shape for the mounds of coal.

Glue the edges using low heat Hot Glue and press down

with your fingers until the glue cools. You can also run

a bead of Super Glue along the edge to seal the bond.

Trim the excess vinyl with scissors following the styrene

edge. Now test fit the load to the car and try a magnet

to “unload” the coal from the car. Look at the Video too.
