Chisenhale PTA Newsletter
Event news, fundraising updates and useful information from the PTA team
£1 for 5 tickets
We have some cracking raffle prizes
this year, donated by local
businesses and we'd love parents to
buy tickets and encourage friends to
buy them too. We'll be selling tickets
every day next week at drop off and
pick up and at Night Owls. You will
also, for the first time, be able to buy
tickets via Parent Pay where tickets
are now available (min purchase £5
due to transaction costs). If you buy
tickets in this way, we will send you
an email with your numbers on
Friday morning before the raffle is
drawn at the Fair.
For any new parents, Parent Pay is
an online payment system that many
parents use for paying for clubs,
night owls, trips, etc. We also use it
for pop-up tickets. Parents can get
their unique log-in from Kim in the
office.
Many thanks again to all the local
businesses who kindly donated, and
to Amy Cunningham, Marta
Arechaga and Alanna Clear for
asking them to. And to the parents
who have been so generous to
donate prizes.

And finally...
Introducing...
Nigel Williams, School Cook.
He's a legend at the school, having
been here for 20 years.
Before Chisenhale, he worked in
restaurants including Hotel Café
Royal on Regent Street. He then
worked in other schools in Tower
Hamlets before "stumbling" on the
school and staying.
He runs a team of 6 who come in
from 10.30 until 2pm to help serve
lunch: 310 hot meals and
sandwiches every day. The kids get
through 15kg of baked beans every
week...!
He is much-loved across the school,
and by us at the PTA - he always
helps with events including the pop
up restaurant in the summer which is
hugely hard work but very
appreciated every year!
The kids all know him, and he says
he knows most of them by name (he
reckons 90%) and past pupils too -
including Daisy the TA who he
remembers from when she was at
Chisenhale nursery.
He says he loves the people, the
parents, the kids, everything about
the school...
