Lambs on the parkland Found at Chirk or Erddig in March Did you know… If the weather is cold our lambs sometimes wear biodegradable orange jackets to protect them. 3. Daffodils Found at Chirk, Powis and Erddig in March Did you know… Daffodil leaves and bulbs are toxic, so you should avoid having them in a vase with other flowers. 4. Wild Garlic Found at Erddig in March/April Did you know… Both the leaves and flowers are edible, and are delicious added to salads or made into a pesto. 5. Snake’s Head Fritillary Found at Erddig and Powis in March/April Did you know… These are the only species of fritillary native to Britain, and thrive in landscapes never subjected to intensive agriculture - making them quite rare 6. Tulips Found at Powis and Erddig in April Did you know… Tulips are native to Central Asia, and were first cultivated in Europe in the 16th century. The word tulip is derived from the Persian word delband, meaning turban 8.
