The leading brand of traditional Chinese publishing .
Founded in 1975
The publications span many different areas including literary
fiction, commercial fiction, humanities, pop science, business,
lifestyle, self-improvement, trend, fashion, etc..

YU, JI-ZHONG ( 余紀忠) the founder of China Times.

Extremely Competitive & Little Entry Requirements. This leads to an unique situation that there are over 3,000 publishing companies in Taiwan but only less than 900 of them have more than 9 employees. In Taiwan, almost 40,000 titles are published every year which means there are more than 100 titles published every day. It has made Taiwan the supreme power in the traditional Chinese publishing world. Only second to the UK, Taiwan has the world’s second highest ratio of published titles to population. Independent bookstores have thrived in the last three, four years.
