Introduction• China City of America is a prospective multipurpose development

planned for New York’s Catskills region. The proposed project will include homes, offices, and entertainment, and China City of America has already launched the development of the community’s first facility: The Thompson Education Center. China City of America has garnered widespread community support for its planned endeavors and strives to be an active supporter of New York communities.

Recently, China City of America served as the media sponsor for an event hosted by the Boys & Girls Club of Orange County. Friday, March 4, 2016 marked the nonprofit’s sixth annual Storybook Characters on the Boardwalk event, which seeks to raise support and awareness for the Boys & Girls Club’s enriching programs.

China City of America• The highlight of the evening was perhaps the costume contest, which

featured teams of attendees dressed as their favorite characters from classic children’s stories. China City and its community partners choose to recreate the beloved cast of the Wizard of Oz and came in first place with their creative costumes, garnering $10,431 in donations. Altogether, the event raised $57,772 for the Boys and Girls club of Orange County.

China City CEO Sherry Li, who dressed as the Tin Woman for the festive occasion, described the event as a “tremendous success,” as it gave the organization the opportunity to support local children while having a great time in the process. China City is a dedicated supporter of the Boys & Girls Club and has sponsored several of the nonprofit’s past events, in addition to organizing a Fresh Food Delivery program that has helped feed over 300 Boys & Girls Club families.
