The Office of Global Education is committed to providing academically and professionally relevant international experiences to a diverse student population. These experiences equip students with cross-cultural skills necessary to succeed in an interconnected global society. Our office has assisted University of Colorado Denver students in successfully competing for national scholarships such as the Gilman, Boren and Fulbright, and students are provided with resources to apply for financial aid wand other study abroad scholarship opportunities.

GAIN FIrst-hANd kNowledGe and professional experience through global experiential opportunities in Europe, Asia or Latin America. Learn and work alongside international colleagues in a variety of cultural settings, build your international network of friends, and prepare for today’s rapidly changing global society.

Program Details

• Six to eight-week non-paying professional internship and cultural experience in one of the following host countries during Maymester and summer:

Chile China Costa RiCa england FRanCe singapoRe spain• Receive academic credit (optional)• Living accommodations with a host family

or private lodging or dormitory• Internship placement as closely related

as possible to academic major and career goals

• Pre-departure cross-cultural orientation sessions about customs, society and government of host country

• Group activities and weekend excursion upon arrival to host country

• Frequent contact with CU Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus staff or in-country coordinator while in host country

eligibility

• Currently enrolled University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus undergraduate and graduate students with minimum GPA 2.75 for undergraduates and 3.0 for graduate students.

• Basic to intermediate conversational ability in the host country’s language is recommended for students applying to Chile, Costa Rica, France and Spain

• Cost of program includes: Airport pick-up upon arrival in host country, health insurance, internship placement, room and board with a host family or private lodging, two meals per day, weekend excursion and cultural activities, cross-cultural orientation sessions and travel materials, and in-country support
