Stanton Top Five
Amanda’s five favourite comedy television series
Seinfeld- Unique, original and hilarious. One of the
most enduring TV comedies. Never get tired of it.
Curb your enthusiasm– Genius ‘Seinfeld’ creator Larry
David gives us another unique, smart and hilarious TV
show. Each episode is an interesting day in the crazy
life of Larry David. It also has a great cast and surprise
guest appearances from the likes of Rosie O’Donnell,
Michael J Fox, Christian Slater and the ‘Seinfeld’ cast!
Veep- Political satire at its best, so smart and funny.
Creator Armando Ianucci has done a great job here
with his cast lead by the talented and extremely funny
Julia Louis Dreyfus as the Veep.
Father Ted- A comedic look at catholic Ireland. This is a
series about three priests living on the remote Craggy
Island. Some of the situations these priests get into will
make you cry with laughter. Great writing and brilliant
acting make this such a funny show.
Fawlty Towers- This classic British comedy is set in a
boutique hotel in Torquay run by the crazy Basil Fawlty,
whose personality and character does not suit his
position as hotel manager, and this is where the mad-
cap behaviour ensues. This is pure genius from such a
creative mind. John Cleese is absolutely fab and so is
his talented cast.
