100 locations in each of 266 neighborhoods
Sampling
1 km radius drawn around each location
Sampling
6000 traffic monitors
Sampling
~100,000 major crimes in 2013
Analysis
● For each sampled location:
– Determine public school quality
– Find the number of major crimes
– Use census data to see how many kids live nearby
– Identify nearby traffic monitoring sites● Calculate z scores for each neighborhood and across NYC
● User address scores are calculated and ranked compared to the sampled locations in the same neighborhood and across NYC
