    Narihalla dam, Sandur

Narihalla Reservoir, on the way to Sandur town, 25 kms from Bellary, a lessexplored place, provides a lot of opportunities for photography and explorations.Narihalla Dam was completed int the year 1979. The redness of the soil and the

lake water shows the presence of iron ore beneth. It is believed that thisbeautiful landscape is the result of some volcanic eruption. Mindless illegal

mining is going on in the surrounding areas resulting in destruction of suchbreathtakingly beautiful place. There are water sports available now. Banana

boat ride on Narihalla dam is a must do.
