When children work ILLEGALLY.

There are no fewer than 9,000 to 12,800 boys working illegally under 14 years old. Some of their parents are dead and they are only trying to keep them and their younger siblings alive.

FINALLY IN 1833 THE LAW CHANGED. KIDS 11-18 YEARS OLD WERE ALLOWED TO WORK A MAXIMUM OF 12 HOURS PER DAY. WHILE YOU WERE COMPLAINING ABOUT CHORES, THERE ARE KIDS OUR AGE FIGHTING TO STAY ALIVE.

Then the law changed…

While some children are living happily, others are living through child labor. If you buy certain chain products like “Nike” or “Hershey” it could increase child labor.

THISTO…

THIS!

Some children work 80 hours a week only to get 40-70 U.S. cents per day.

This picture is showing how Raju carries bricks on his head to make a living.

IN COAL MINES, OFTEN TIMES ONLY

THE WHITES OF EYES AND RED LIPS ARE

IF THEY DON’T WORK, THEY DON’T EAT.

There are 7 million children that work 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on one decent meal a day.

Page 11: Child labor mo cowan and sydney oden

If the children don’t work or they goof off, they get abused or even killed.

Page 12: Child labor mo cowan and sydney oden

If you look at the graph, 8 million kids work in the unconditionally worst forms of child labor. They need help.

Page 13: Child labor mo cowan and sydney oden

ALL OF THESE AREAS STILL HAVE CHILD LABOR. THIS IS A CHART OF ONLY FEMALES. IF WE WORK TOGETHER, WE CAN STOP IT FOREVER!

Page 14: Child labor mo cowan and sydney oden

BUT ENOUGH BAD NEWS….

Page 15: Child labor mo cowan and sydney oden

In 1992, a new foundation law was passed, and 50,000 kids were fired. The kids would have to stop working for a living!

YES!!!

Page 16: Child labor mo cowan and sydney oden

When the children got fired, it took away their income, taking their

chance of survival. The people that boycotted, only hurt the children

worse.

THE SAD PART IS…

Page 17: Child labor mo cowan and sydney oden

HERE’S SOME GOOD NEWS!

If we team up to stop child labor, we could do it! The government is already trying, but they need our help!
