Dear Parents I Guardians of Primary 6 Students

Parents' Vigil Service during PSLE

1. The school has organized a Vigil Service (mass and prayer time) for the duration of the PSLE. Mass will be celebrated by Father Kamil (School Chaplain) and this will be followed by a vigil. This service is led by the Central Parent Council (CPG) of the school with a group of Parent Volunteers.

2. This year, it will be held at the Chapel at CHIJ Secondary (Toa Payoh) on the following days and time:

Dates Thursday 1 October 2015 (mass and vigil) Friday 2 October 2015 (mass and vigil) Monday 5 October 2015 (mass and vigil) ) a.30am -11am Tuesday 6 October 2015 (mass and vigil) Wednesday 7 October 2015 (vigil only)

3. We are inviting parents of our Primary 6 students to attend the session to pray for our students while they are sitting for their papers. For the students, knowing that their parents would spend time in prayer for them would give them a tremendous emotional boost.

4. Parents are free to attend the entire session or part of it. However, for logistical and security reasons, we would need a confirmation of the number of parents and the names of parents who will be attending the service on each day. If parents are unable to attend, another family member may do so on their behalf. As the chapel has limited seating capacity, we would have to request that only 1 family member per student be present. We would also like to request that parents park their cars at the public car park nearest to CHIJ Secondary (Toa Payoh) as there are limited parking spaces at the school's car park.

5. To assist us in our preparations for the service, please kindly complete the reply slip on this page and return it through your daughter by Monday 28 September 2015 to the General Office.

6. Let this be an opportunity for parents and the school to be physically and spiritually present with our students as they go through this milestone examination.

Change of Official Address for Purpose of Sec 1 Posting Exercise

7. As your daughter prepares for her Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE), you will be considering the secondary school that she will be joining next year.

8. To help you prepare for this, we have noted that some students may have moved residence but the information is not updated in the school records.

9. In order for the correct official address to be captured by the school, you would need to update the address on your Identity Card. This can be done at your neighbourhood police post or at Immigrations and Checkpoints Authority (ICA).

10.You will need to proceed to the police post or ICA with your IC and bring along documentary evidence of the new address such as recent utility bills, telephone bills, etc as proof of the new address before it can be updated.

11.lf you are unable to furnish any documentary evidence, you may submit an online pre-notification to ICA on the new address. A pre-notification letter will then be sent to you at this new address within 7 working days. Upon receipt of the letter which serves as the evidence of the new address, the IC holder can call at ICA or neighbourhood police posts to effect the change of address on the physical IC.
