OUR PRIMARY ENERGY SOURCES WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR ONLY 30 TO 40 YEARS.
SO WE GO FOR BIOFUELS CONSUMPTION OF CHICKEN AND PORK MEAT IN
ASIA IS NEARLY 42.5 MT , ie NEARLY 40% OF WORLD CONSUMPTION.
1KG MEAT CONTAIN 14.5% FATS ie 140gm WHICH IS CONSIDERED AS WASTE .
WE CONVERT THIS FAT TO BIODIESEL.

EXTRACTION OF BIODIESEL FROM CHICKEN AND PORK FAT
1.900gm fat is heated in the pressure cooker
2.We get 520 ml of fat liquid, then the NAOH is added to METHONAL and this solution is added to the fat liquid in the conical flask where TRANSESTERIFICATION PROCESS will take place by placing this flask in Magnetic stirrer for 1hr , cool it for 8 hours

3.We obtain two layers in the flask one is yellow layer which is called biodiesel and bottom layer is called glycerol.
Comparison of the experimental values of Chicken and Pork Biodiesel with ASTM values of Diesel Fuel:
ENGINE TEST APPARATUS
Pre-heating of Biodiesel:• The BIODIESEL obtained from
TRANSESTIRIFICATION is pre heated to improve its properties like viscosity, density etc…
• And then it is used in CI-ENGINE to check its various characteristics.
