Chick-fil-A South Virginia Reno

New proposed fast food Chick-fil-A restaurant with drive-thru service.

Chick-fil-A intends to construct a new fast food restaurant that will serve

chicken inspired items. We are requesting a Special Use Permit to grant Chick-fil-A

the ability to service our customers through a drive-thru. We are proposing to build

a new 4,529sf building with 122 indoor seats. We anticipate to hire 35 to 45 new

employees from the surrounding neighborhood.

Chick-fil-A desires to operate our establishment in a way that complements the

surrounding community. We intend to operate from 6:30am to 11:00pm Monday thru

Saturday, and will be closed on Sunday. The site selected and site plan proposed will

assist in mitigating traffic impact to the site. Our site will also remain clear of any

excess noise, smoke, dust, or odors.

Chick-fil-A will re-landscape disturbed soils on site, and utilize ground cover

to stabilize any exposed soils.

Chick-fil-A requires a peak water demand of 67 gpm and a minimum pressure of

35psi. We will be utilizing the existing water source on site.

Sewer service already existing at site. New development will not have increased

impact on City sewer systems.

Although this is not a LEED project, Chick-fil-A utilizes many LEED practices

in our building design and construction.

Due to the age of the existing restaurant, there are no as-builts of the

current sewer service on site. Chick-fil-A will be proposing a new 6”

lateral connection in the access drive to the north of the site.

City of Reno Public Works will provide sewer collection services. Chick-fil-A

estimates 1500gpd average in discharge to the sewer system.

Chick-fil-A will utilize City of Reno Public Works for sewer and storm service,

Nevada Energy will be utilized for electrical and gas and TMWA will be utilized

for water service.

The site is design to provide easy access and circulation to all service providers

that may visit or frequent the site.

A Traffic Study is not required for this project as it does not meet the criteria

expressed in RMC 18.12.903

The site layout will help to mitigate any negative impact on existing City

street infrastructure.

Chick-fil-A anticipates approximately 180 a.m. peak hour trips and

106 p.m. peak hour trips.
