Following this four-game set at the Los Angeles Angels, Chi-cago will return home for a six-game, seven-day homestand vs. Toronto (7/27-29) and Kansas City (7/31-8/2). The White Sox went 3-2 on their last homestand vs. St. Louis (1-1) and the Royals (2-1) from 7/10-15 and 2-8 on their last trip to Texas (1-2), Cincinnati (1-2) and Houston (0-4) from 6/29-7/8.</p><p>TONIGHT'S STORYLINESChicago has lost six straight games and 14 of the last 15 at Angel Stadium since 5/18/13 (only win on 8/20/15).The Sox have lost seven of the last eight games, 13 of 16 and 20 of 27 on the road (scored three or less 16 times in the 27 games).White Sox starters own a 2.82 ERA (19 ER/60.2 IP) and .207 opponents average over the last nine games since 7/8.Tonight's starter, Lucas Giolito, is a native and resident of Santa Monica, located approximately 45 miles from Angel Stadium.Avisal Garca has hit safely in 13 of his last 15 games, going 21-64 (.328) with three doubles, two triples, nine home runs, 15 RBI, a 1.203 OPS and four multiRBI eff orts.</p><p>LAST NIGHT'S RECAPSeattle scored fi ve times in the fi rst inning and limited Chicago to fi ve hits in its 8-2, series-clinching win.Ryon Healy capped the fi ve-run fi rst with a three-run home run off White Sox starter Reynaldo Lpez Healy added a three-run shot in the eighth off reliever Hctor Santiago.Lpez suff ered his eighth loss after allowing fi ve runs on fi ve hits with four walks and one strikeout over 5.0 IP Lpez limited the Mariners to just two hits over his fi nal 4.0 IP.Tim Anderson drove in both of the Sox runs with a two-run homer in the sixth he recorded the club's only multihit eff ort.Chicago struck out 11 times, walked just once, recorded four singles, went 0-4 with RISP and left four runners on base.</p><p>TOO MANY ANGELS IN THE OUTFIELDThe White Sox have lost six consecutive games, 14 of the last 15 and 20 of 24 at Angel Stadium their only win over the last 15 contests came on 8/20/15.Chicago has been outscored, 86-52, and been limited to three runs or less nine times over the last 15 games since 5/18/03. Yolmer Snchez is tied with Ketel Marte for the MLB lead with nine triples in 2018 after ranking sixth last season with eight.</p><p>QUALITY AND QUANTITY James Shields has made 13 quality starts in 2018, tied for the eighth-most in the American League and the most on the White Sox the Sox are tied for seventh in the AL with 42 QS in 2018.
